We are walking the South West Coast path and have stayed in many B&Bs and small hotels. The Southcombe guest house was one of the best and was also excellent value for money. We had a large room with plenty of space for our ruck sacks and even an area to sit and relax. The hosts made us really welcome and went the extra mile to help us out with a problem we had. Tye breakfast was very good with an excechoice of cooked food . If you are stopping in Sidmouth I highly recommend this guest house.

Booked a night here for a stopover after a family event. Lovely friendly host and clean comfortable room. Breakfast was just what we needed and all made freshly to order. Twin room with breakfast was great value. Highly recommended.

We were so lucky….arrived in Sidmouth looking for a BnB for us and our dog! Graham and Jo had a cancellation for the annex (dog friendly room) so we booked for 2 nights. Immaculately clean, very comfortable with all amenities. Hot shower and delicious breakfast each morning. Absolutely perfect position with easy walking to the shops/sea front through the Byes so our dog had a lovely off lead walk by the river. Our hosts were so warm and friendly, we would highly recommend them and Southcombe.

Nicely situated with a beautiful walk through the Byes to the rear and a short walk into the town centre and seafront. This is a lovely guesthouse. You will get a warm welcome from Jo and Graham. Good spacious car park to the rear and a large well kept garden with patio area to enjoy. Our room (6) was just right for the two of us with en suite and a nice French door to a small patio seating area. Excellent breakfast and superb value for money. Will not hesitate to stay here again when in Sidmouth

Wonderful stay! Graham and Jo were warm and helpful hosts. The room was small but clean with all the amenities, and the guest parking at the back was very helpful. Their garden was lovely and the guesthouse is close to the the Byes Riverside Park which is absolutely delightful. Would love to go back!

Stayed here for 4 nights, we were made very welcome by Graham. A car park at the guest house was good & we left our car there throughout our stay as it was not far to walk to the town or to the beach. The room was small but very clean, as was the ensuite. The guest house was kept clean & tidy. There is a lovely, relaxing garden . The breakfasts were good, with plenty of choice, unfortunately because of the covid rules it was not buffet service. Graham & Jo were very accommodating & always cheerful. The only slight criticism was that the guest house could benefit from a bit of modernisation, but Graham & Jo work very hard to make everyone welcome. Graham could often be heard singing whilst preparing breakfast in the kitchen! For a short break, at reasonable rates I would recommend Southcombe.

We are very experienced guest house/b. & b, guests, and this is right up there in our "best ever" stays. We were greeted on arrival by Graham, who came out into the car park to welcome us, then we also met Scooby the resident dog plus the two rabbits, and finally the boss, Jo(!) Graham and Jo are both ideal for the roles they have, with Graham the chef and Jo serving breakfasts (and they also offer evening meals, although we booked b & b only) Our ground floor bedroom had French doors opening onto a patio to the rear of the property, where we had a table and two chairs to sit in the sun. The room was equipped perfectly, with an en suite with plentiful storage for our wash bags, over-door hooks for hanging dressing gowns etc., drawers to tuck wash bags away when not in use. Towels were changed daily. In the bedroom there was a wealth of storage possibilities, a wardrobe with a generous 10 clothes hangers, an alarm clock radio, a bedside light, tissues, etc. - well thought out! We had great fun with Jo and Graham throughout the stay, which all added to the enjoyment of our four-night visit. Ideally placed for walking into town (around 5 minutes) and to the beach (around 10 minutes) Car parking for all residents at the rear of the property, beyond which a very attractive garden has seating for guests. Book and enjoy!

If your looking for a great B&B then this is the place for you , it well situated so you can walk into the town centre from there your straight on the sea front where your able to catch busses to places you wish to visit , all rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean also a very nice sitting area in the garden, a great breakfast every morning and if you wanted an evening meal just talk to Jo and Graham they will let you no whats on the menu and they will sort things out for you also all covid restrictions were in place and we felt totaly safe , Jo and Grahan were the perfects hosts very friendly and helpful with bus time tables , in all we can recomend this B&B and wouldnt hesitate to stay there again

My partner and I were delighted we had chosen this guest house.. It was only going to be for 1 night but we Stayed 2 instead… Owners Graham & jo were so welcoming.. this house was beautifully clean. All COVID regulations in place too The room we stayed in was immaculate. Lovely and fresh.. breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious. (Loved chefs singing) Parking at the rear… Beautiful gardens.. Only 10 min walk to the town centre and seafront.. I would have liked to rate this guesthouse more than 5*
