Hunters Moon Hotel

We love this hotel but did have problems with our bed this time. It was resolved after two sleepless nights by putting a topper on. Food and staff are great and so is the position of this hotel. We have stayed many times over the years and will continue to do so.

We have been going here or many years and it is always excellent. The staff are very kind and helpful. And the food is great. The location is just perfect near to the sea but not too close to the crowds. Right in the park with lovely walks. Can’t wait to go back.

We loved our stay at Hunters Moon. The room was very comfortable, the setting peaceful and idyllic, and the breakfast really delicious. The staff were very friendly too. We would certainly stay there again. Perfect for the slightly older demographic.

The first time at this hotel. but not the last. Extremely good accommodation, everything provided by excellent staff, nothing too much trouble. Gardens immaculate, food freshly cooked and well presented, not stingy with central heating. Intend to go back later this year for another relaxing few days

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel and thanks to the good weather we were able to enjoy the garden for pre dinner drinks which was a bonus. Our room was immaculate and the breakfast and dinner were both delicious. Thank you to all the friendly staff who made us feel so welcome we look forward to visiting again.

Arrived Early in the car park to at least 12 Electric Charging Points ,Beautifully maintained gardens and walked through the main entrance to greeted by a smiling face at the reception to be told my room was ready. I had booked a single room which was over looking the gardens ,included in the room Double bed,en-suite,tea/coffee tray and Television all very clean and in good condition. Breakfast had lots to choose from and the hot items where cooked fresh and served to you at your table. All in All a fabulous 4 nights away visiting my family in Sidmouth and I may become a regular at this hotel ,truly comfortable experience.

This was our fourth visit to Hunter's Moon and once again we were not disappointed. The room was spacious, well decorated and immaculate. The food was excellent and we ate in for the five nights of our stay. There was a good choice of dishes for starters, mains and dessert. The hotel is very relaxing and peaceful being next to parkland. It also has pleasant gardens within the hotel grounds which guests can enjoy. There is plenty of car parking on site and several charging points for electric cars. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay special. I would happily recommend Hunter's Moon as a great place to spend a holliday, and can't wait to return next year.

Stayed one night bed and breakfast as visiting a friend who lived locally. Very comfortable room with clean and well fitted bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee available in the room. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cooked options. Especially enjoyed a grilled kipper sadly not found very often on breakfast menus.

We loved this hotel. For starters its situated in beautiful gardens just off the Byes river walk yet still within walking distance of Sidmouth sea front. It's easy to find, parking is free with electric chargers. As you enter this Georgian house there's a real wow factor. Impressive architecture with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings. Large lounge and dining room. Our room was immaculately clean and pleasantly decorated. En-suite was like new! Powerful walk in shower. Crisp white linen bedding and fluffy towels. Had the most comfortable bed and very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Wonderful yummy English breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, croissants, etc. What more can I say? I'm still waxing lyrical. We met a couple who have been visiting this family hotel for 60 years! an impressive accolade. Thanks Martyn, Julie and staff for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary such a memorable occasion. PS When visiting Sidmouth check out the Toy and Model Museum - good fun.
