Super 8 by Wyndham Sidney NE

This is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The one thing they didn’t have was a blow dryer in the room, but it is a budget friendly place so not much in the way of amenities. I was extremely pleased with everything about this place.

Full disclosure: My company was hired by Super 8 management to install new headboards and Super 8 artwork in all 47 rooms, as part of the conversion to the Super 8 brand, by Wyndham. To do the installation, we had to move all the beds away from the walls, install the new headboards and artwork, and push the beds back into place. As we worked, we saw that there was no dirt, dust, or even a crumb under any of the beds. Each room was so clean, that we made sure to clean up after ourselves, so as not to make extra work for the cleaning staff. They obviously take pride in providing a product that stands apart from just about any hotel we've ever been in. After some conversations with the owner, we found out that the same front desk staff had been there for 18 years, and the same cleaning staff had been there for over 20 years! These are people who enjoy, and take pride in their work. The entire hotel shines with cleanliness. All the rooms have nice engineered hardwood flooring, which I think adds to the beauty, and helps make it easier to keep looking new and clean. As I looked around with a more critical eye, I examined the ceilings in the rooms. Not one water stain did I see. Each room was as immaculate as any other. There is a coin operated laundry on the second floor. The laundry room is just as light, bright, and spotless as the rest of the hotel. Again, full disclosure: management was nice enough to provide a room for my small crew while we worked there. The workers expressed how comfortable the beds and linens were. I noticed that all the beds had the same high quality mattresses as the ones in our room. So, even though our lodging was provided, I can speak to the cleanliness and the comfort of the entire hotel. Our interactions with the staff showed us that they were very disciplined in making sure that every detail was looked after, e.g. - the pillows had to be arranged just so, with no wrinkles, towels were all folded and arranged in exactly the same way, tubs and toilets had to be spotless, all lights and appliances had to operate flawlessly, etc. The stairways are wide, brightly lit, with what appears to be new carpet and stairnose on each stair. The elevator was also spotless. I have visited other hotels in Sidney, and I have to say this is the cleanest and, by our experience, the most comfortable. Knowing the rates, I have to say that this is a great value. Clean, comfortable, affordable, with a great staff - you won't be disappointed! I would highly recommend this hotel. I've not been offered any incentive for this review. I just know that the new owner is struggling a little bit to get the word out about his hotel, I was very impressed, and I'd like to help by sharing my experience. Tom M.

Recently remodeled, very clean! The mattresses and pillows seemed new - very comfortable. I am very picky and very clean, and I would stay here again. Highly recommend!!!

Clean and comfortable. Pet friendly. I will stay here again. Close to many travel amenities, restaurants, groceries, fuel, retail stores.

Parking entrance is a little odd to get to from the main road. But a very nice, clean, reasonably priced motel

I stayed here on a road trip with a friend and her dog. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful! And there was no charge for the dog! A great place to stay!

Parking needs to be updated. Not equipped for anything with a trailer or pull behind of any kind

Hotel was clean and looked like it was just remodeled. Room was a little small, but was acceptable for my needs. Breakfast option was a bit disappointing, as it was a simple "On the go (grab and go shelf)", as I would have preferred a sit down option with waffles and/or hot food. Staff was very friendly, supportive, and helpful.

Breakfast was one option of a dry prepackaged pastry, apple, orange, banana or yogurt. Air conditioning was fine. Beds and pillows were slightly below average. If you need a place to catch a few hours for a decent price, this fits the bill.
