It's all good, but ... there's one but. Since Guesthouse is not a recipient with staff, then the question is how to get to the building when you arrive late at night or at night? The guesthouse is due to send you all the code instructions to the door the day before the trip. In this case, the letter was not spam or anywhere. We had such a lovely stay at The Herring House. The rooms were well-equipped, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the amenities (kitchenette and bathroom) were fully stocked and easy to use. Our host was delightful, offering a beautiful breakfast spread every morning with a stunning view over the fjord. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and empathetic. The house itself is in a great location, towards the top of town. It's an easy walk into the center of things, but nicely removed to offer a beautiful overlook. Was in town for business, so didn't have a chance to partake in e.g. skiing and other recreational activities, but the town has amazing food, drink, and activities. Would highly recommend staying here for any season.
