Giardino Bed & Breakfast

One night at Giardino’s We were there for an overnight in St Moritz. We had booked the b and b through a third party app. The room and common area was very clean and well appointed. The only issue we encountered was the arrival process. It was a late arrival and we were not aware the building would not be staffed. We called the emergency number to gain access which involved a key code at the front door security box. We were told we received an email with instructions but there was no email in the inbox. The problem was that, in crossing the border from Italy, cellular service was lost and did not reconnect so the email had not been delivered. If booking, be sure to indicate you will have late arrival (after 6 pm) so that the service can send all instructions in advance. The bar was not staffed and there was no dinner service in the restaurant (but there is a lovely breakfast). There also are self-service snacks and drinks at the bar, mini-bar style.

The hotel indicates that it's not full service, since Massage and other treatments are not available in the summer months. Apart from that, everything was 5 star. The breakfast was great with a beautiful view of the mountains. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, near the hiking and lakes. The room was very well equipped and the bathroom was very spacious for the 2 of us.

NICE & COMFORT STAY It was a surprise stay for us, we did not expect heated pool with spa which we didn't our gears. Overall very comfort & clean stay. A bit far fm the train station.

Just bed and breakfast during summer and autumn Very beautiful hotel, clean and cozy. But you have to be careful not to arrive after 6:00 p.m. there because there is no one at the reception. They send a message with the code for you to access a security box and pick up the keys to your room and check in only the next day but they do not make sure that this information arrived in the guest's hand so you can run the risk of not being able to enter the hotel.

We only stayed one night but the hotel gave us a lasting impression of its beauty. Observations:- 1. The room was a 25 sq.m. superior double room that looked exactly like the photos in their website. They gave me the St Moritz Lake view which was unbelievably picturesque. 2. The breakfast area was beautiful. We got a round table for 4 next to a large window. Beautiful for pictures. The breakfast buffet selection was limited though. 3. The location of the hotel was only 11 minutes by bus to St Moritz-Bad. 4. We did not try the sauna which we should have on the first day, regrettably. It started to rain when we took a bus to St Moritz town. 5. Room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. 6. There is a glass panel in between the room and the bathroom. That means the bathroom lights will shine into the room if they're switched on when someone needs to go to the bathroom at night. 7. Taps are completely safe for drinking. 8. There's no air-conditioner so we had to semi-open the balcony door to allow fresh cool air. 9. The lifts do not exactly correspond with the room floors. If you're carrying luggages it would mean you have to carry them over half a floor. 10. Reception was very helpful. They provided bus schedules and directions. 11. They provide excellent quality room sandals and toiletries. We would love to come back again for a longer stay in the future.
