Superior Shores

Pretty view of superior from the property beach, besides that it’s just okay. There’s really nothing to do, you have to drive into town. I was poolside and unless you have kids don’t do it. There’s no sound proofing so got woken up before 8am by screaming people in the pool every morning. The bed is hard as a rock.

Family has been going to this property for over 15 years. It has gotten too expensive because they have not done any updating and the resort fee is very expensive. Location is great and the grounds are wonderful. Just needs to either be updated or not priced so high, either one.

The good: Quiet, immaculate and lovely views although we were a little farther from the lake than I recall being before. Staff came right away when we reported fireplace not working. We were upgraded to a condo, which was appreciated. The negative: The furnishings “expired” a long time ago. The couch sank so low we struggled to extricate ourselves and the little straight chairs at the table were uncomfortable. Bed was pretty soft, too.

I would highly recommend staying at Superior Shores Resort. The rooms are perfect for four people, the kitchen was nice to have when entertaining others, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the view of the lake was breath taking.

Excellent place to stay, very quiet and beautiful area! The view from the room was great! Will definitely be going back.

While this property was extremely clean and the staff friendly and attentive, the rooms were beat up and in need of a remodel. Onsite maintenance is doing the best they can with what they’ve got.

My wife and I typically stay at Burlington Bay, which is part of the superior Shores resort. We celebrate our first anniversary there 17 years ago. And we typically try and come back every other year on our anniversary.

We have been coming there for at least 7 years staying 4-7 nights each visit. 1-2 times a year. The rooms always vary with furniture and decor. Our room was pretty plain with only a hard couch to lounge on. It would be nice to have some comfy furniture, a recliner, chase, glider, anything. Our bed was pretty hard and the frame wiggles easily when someone moves. I know we’ve had better beds in other rooms. A lamp on both nightstands would be nice. There was only 1. There’s no place to hang jackets (at least 1-206 didn’t). Some hooks by the door would be nice. Adding some simple decor would be nice as well. The rooms were previously decorated with wall art, knick knacks, etc. Our dining table was pretty worn with chunks of wood missing from the table top. We only had 2 chairs. At least 4 would be nice for having guests over for dinner. We only had 3 forks. So had to keep washing them to reuse and thankfully we had some plastic forks from takeout when we had 2 people over to eat. It would be nice to at least have a broom to clean with and a carpet sweeper.

Had a great weekend away they upgraded my room for my Birthday as a special treat thank you for the much needed restful quiet time in a great location.
