Voor de 3e keer hier verbleven. Personeel is erg vriendelijk (over het algemeen). Locatie dichtbij vliegveld St Maarten, zelfs op loopafstand. Kamer was goed met genoeg faciliteiten (belangrijkste: goede airco).

This is my second time staying at Sonesta Maho. I stayed here right before the pandemic started and I had an enjoyable stay. This time however was not it. Housekeeping was very laxed in servicing the rooms. I encountered that other guests were experiencing the same. Housekeeping would either not service the rooms or take an extremely long time to tend to them. If they did manage to service the room, it was not full service: no fresh towels, no new toiletries like soap or tissue, etc. Then to add insult to injury, the pool towel desk has a supervisor who is very rude and caters to Caucasian guests. After this stay, I will not return to Sonesta Maho.

Nice hotel
The buffet wasn’t what I expected it’s the name type of food .
I find the hotel at least should have the rooms them ready a lil earlier.
I did not see any snacks by the way like chips biscuits ect…

I only stay for one night . However I received Awesome customer service. I was allowed to get lunch before my official check in time that was 3pm. . The young lady at the baggage area was professional. After checking in and receiving my bottle water and champagne. I was told where to go but got a bit confused . Nonetheless i asked where the buffet was and was escorted to the buffet restaurant by a gentleman from the beach where you get your towels. When I got to the buffet a young man greeted me with a nice smile and offered me something to drink letting me know that the restaurant was closed and will be opening shortly. This to me was awesome customer service. I ask let him a few questions as it relates to Wi-Fi and he was able to tell me.
My only issue was I checked you cannot gain access to Wi-Fi until you are assigned a room number. I checked in at 12 am and my room was going to be ready until 3pm I had no access to Wi-Fi and couldn’t call me family to let them know I was safe. There should be a way to gain Wi-Fi access before you are assigned a room. A one time access 30 minute access Other than that everything else was great . The workers at the Buffett was awesome especially a young man with braids that worked the morning and evening shift night of the 8/7/23.

沙灘不錯，可見飛機起降，包三餐的形式適合我這樣的懶人，很省心，退房當天除了房間不能進，外面餐廳和咖啡館，小吃點，酒吧，都還可以自由出入。

The hotel is very well updated, clean, food is excellent, great pools. Windows are noise proof. Noise from airplanes is minor, not a problem for kids with toddlers. The beach waves are big and not so safe for toddlers, although, for adults should not be a problem. Great ******.

The location is great, and that’s the only great thing about the resort. There’s only about 20-30 beach chairs available and the rest are chained together locked up, zero beach service for drinks etc. The beach and water are beautiful though. The pool is ran down the liner is coming loose all over the bottom surface, swim up bar is small and crowded, easier to walk to another bar. There is supposedly pool service daily but we were only offered drinks 1 time in 6 days. The restaurants are sweltering hot and little to no airflow so you sweat while you eat and most nights it took over an hour to get entrees. The pizza was good but it drivers on who is working as far as how long you’ll wait. One guy cooks 1 pizza at a time and never speaks, but the last day the lady was making and baking 4 pizzas at a time and was very friendly. The burgers ava hotdogs are great but plan on standing in line 45 minutes as there’s only 1 cook and he’s definitely not in a hurry. Our room overlooked what appears to be sewage treatment so you can’t use the balcony due to the smell. 90% of the staff act like they hate their jobs but 10% of them were very good.

pésima atención, sin predisposición para ayudarte. La limpieza malísima. Estuve en una estadía semanal en 3 habitaciones, una reparando la de al lado (Suciedad y ruidos), la otra se inundó. Corte de luz frecuentes. Casi nulo personal de habla hispana. No limpiaron el dormitorio todos los días y cuando lo hacían solo cambiaron las toallas. Todo para que funcione es a través de reclamos. Soy viajero frecuente, el peor hotel que he estado. No lo recomiendo a nadie.

Food: above average Beverages: average Service: average Location: Excellent Although, there seemed to be a lackluster attitude amongst some staff members when it came to guests requests and concerns. I tried to communicate with Mr. Smith the General Manager however, received the same type of response. I can see where that can be perceived by the staff as acceptable based on his actions. There were (3) particular employee managers who went above and beyond. Ms Carla in the Coffee Cafe, Ms Pauline in the Palm Restaurant and Chevron in the Fontina restaurant. Sonesta should allow them to teach a service etiquette class for entire resort including the General Management level. I would still recommend this resort however you may want to double check on your accommodations and if you request anything expect to ask repeatedly. Again, it’s a solid 3 star rating. Don’t expect Marriott treatment or accommodations.
