Commodore Suites

What a disappointment this property was. I arrived and was given a room that had a dead bird on the path leading to my room. Along with a large pool of water from rainfall that required me to move and squeeze between patio furniture to get around the water. For such a centrally located hotel, it was a ghost town during carnival, which was the first red flag. I finally access my room and immediately I could tell the room wasn’t clean. The kitchen surfaces and cabinets all had smear marks as if wiped down with dirty cloth. This was also the case in the elevator and glass windows. I opened a cabinet only to be hit with the strong odour of rotting garbage because bin wasn’t emptied from the previous guest. My room was changed because housekeeping and maintenance had left for the day which I found odd because it was only 6pm. I get to my new room and it as worse. No hot water, dirty dishes/surfaces, and a safe that I couldn’t use. I had to return to the front desk 3 times because the room key I was given didn’t work and the electronic safe was locked and dead. Front desk told me to come back for a key to the safe which was a waste of time because there wasn’t a lock on the safe where the key could be used. I had a 14 hour travel day and couldn’t take a shower because there was no hot water or maintenance staff onsite. I cancelled the rest of my reservation. All but one of the staff were very pleasant. The front desk lady on my checkout day had a bad attitude and took my leaving early personally. Special thanks to Lereisha at the front desk and the security guards who were very pleasant and helpful.

This was my birthday trip upon checking in young lady was not very welcoming after checking in tried to take shower wash ice cold, safe did not work remote control to TV did not work. During night tried to reach out to front per sign someone at front desk 24 hours I tried for 3 hours So at 8:00am I called front desk ask about water advised to allow water to run 15-20 minutes to get hot this information should have been given at check in I explained about no one at desk at night she said person was on lunch I ask for 3 hours she said I must have missed them very short with me she (Ariel)never smiled she walked away while I asked questions

The property was clean. The night staff was really kind and helpful. Check-in was a breeze and the kind lady offered me suggestions as to where I could grab a bite. The bathroom for some reason had no towels, wash cloths or hand soap. The towel rack was also non existent. It was a peaceful and restful nights sleep as I only stayed for 1 night and they were quick to rectify the towel situation.

Staff was very friendlly and helpful. However had to ask for washcloths 2x and they didn’t have any! Was given makeup towels for substitutes. The pools dnt look welcoming at all. Hotels looks a little run down. Lots of wear and tear on furniture. Location however is great!!! Very accessible to beach, market and eatery.

My wife and I stayed here for Heineken Regatta 2026. I raced on a boat so wanted to be close to Simpson Bay Marina. We have stayed at other nearby properties (eg Atrium, Simpson Bay Suites) in previous years so know this area well. I was excited when Commodore Suites became part of the Best Western family in 2025. There is no doubt that the location of this hotel is optimal, many restaurants (Pardon My French totally recommended) and bars nearby, and right on top of a (very expensive) supermarket. But the amenities and services were clearly not up to expectation. Staff were generally somewhat surly with the exception of a housekeeping staff who tried a little harder and Jay Jay the security man who was most helpful. Although our studio had a kitchen, it was only good enough to reheat leftovers so trying to cook a decent meal was out of the question. The coffee machine uses Caffiltay capsule that none of the super markets sell and can only be purchased from the hotel for $2 USD each after the first two free ones. Swimming pool/hot tub were largely inoperative during our week long stay. No umbrella's for the sun beds. Clothes washer didn't work. Overall, not up to standards for Best Western brand.

We did not have aeroport shuttle I was very disappointed on the location (on the top of a marketplace) with view on the garbages and trailers, with no balcony (even if we would have balcony the McDonald smoke would have killed us). With ******* pictures you have the impression that the location is o a hill but is not Minimum kitchenware and zero tools for the grill The stuf does not cleanup the grill and the customers have no tools to do it.

Staff did not care about leakage in bathroom, did not follow up on AC not working, indifferent to not having hot water. Coffee machine was not working, light fixtures switches were not working, had to unplug before leaving for the day. Room was not cleaned for three days, no fresh towels. Property, like halls and stairs were dirty and the jacuzzi was full of dust on the bottom. Not worth the $737.00 charged

This hotel is in an excellent location and our room was large and comfortable. The supermarket on the ground floor had everything you could want but the coffee shop wasn't well stocked. Parking was easy and the security guards were helpful. That said, we were there for 6 days and our room was never cleaned, despite asking twice to have it cleaned. What was once nice furniture is not being kept up, two of our lights were not plugged in and had nowhere to be plugged in. There was no explanation as to how to work the TV and we had to request a hair dryer, extra toilet paper, and clean towels. The staff were nice enough but not helpful. The pool was closed for the beginning of our stay and the hot tubs were set to cool. The working elevator was cranky. We felt that the once lovely place could use a facelift and some ore helpful staff.

Good size room. Bathroom was nice but the reat of the room was a bit dated. Close to several restaurants and thw beach.
