Love my staycation here! Upon reaching, was greeted my friendly receptionist Kamala, and greeted warmly by the friendly staffs Marzuki and Hamzah. Upon asking, I didnt know all the beds here is bunked, and it could be a problem for my mum. However, Kamala is kind enough to explain and ask her staff to bring my to check out the room that I booked for and another room that offer Queen sized bed. Kamala also kindly help to upgrade my room to accomodate for my mum. Breakfast included too, and the staffs down there is vert friendly too :) Location is also extremely accesible. Walking distance (right infront of Mustafa Centre), opposite is City Square Mall, At left side of hotel is Farrer MRT, and area is full of Halal food options! Overall, a good staycation experience.

Pros: Beautiful Interior Design: The hotel’s aesthetic is moody, endearingly campy with carefully chosen décor that creates a unique and stylish atmosphere. Comfortable Bed: The bed was a much-needed haven, providing a ”cloud nine” experience after a long day of walking. Thoughtful Gesture: The staff prepared a delicious welcome cheesecake for our anniversary, which was a lovely personal touch. Cons: Cramped Room Size: For the price, the room was surprisingly small, with barely enough space to open both of our luggage comfortably. Although it was listed as 21 sqm, we had to move carefully to avoid bumping into each other or the furniture. Limited View: Albeit having a window, the only view we had was the sad block of building across and a patch of fake grass below. Cleanliness Issues: The shower corners had visible mold, which was disappointing for a Marriott subsidiary. Noisy Area: There was a significant amount of construction nearby, which walking to and from the metro a bit stressful. Average Service: While service was adequate, it was a bit impersonal. We had warmer welcomes from serviced apartments and 3-star hotels. Distance to Public Transport: The nearest metro station was an 8-10 minute walk away, which can feel lengthy when carrying luggage or in inclement weather. Overall, aesthetics took precedence over functionality in The Vagabond Club. For the price, we probably wouldn't stay here again and would look for alternatives which provide a more comprehensive service tailored to the everyday needs of the average traveler—especially those who require ample wall hooks and prioritize functional accommodations.
