Best Hotels in Sipanska Luka, Croatia

This hotel is situated on the seaside with rooms with very beautiful views directly on the sea. The hotel is part of a huge complex, comprising several hotels and rentals of apartments with many small swimming pools and several restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable without being able to claim a very luxury character. The hotel is very comfortable and the room was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and was very clean. The staff is friendly but probably insufficiently trained, so you are never accompanied to your table at the restaurant and men are served before women,. This lack of quality of service is seen in the breakfast, it is the worst place, a factory, a very large self-service where all guests from the hotels in the complex are all in promiscuity. There again, no one to accompany you at the table or take your order, you are to deal with and serve you in this huge self-catering cantine. Finally, the restaurants of the complex are lunch restaurants but they lack the quality of service, a little more developed map and a refined decor to pretend to welcome you to dinner as a 5-star hotel should be the The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel. The top roof of one of the Royal complex hotels remains, however, sympathetic to drink a glass while watching the sunset. At the end this wonderful situation is a little disrupted by the lack of refinements in the hotel, the poor service and the breakfast plant.

When shown the room I enquired if it could possibly be changed. The outlook was grim, over the kitchens which was noisy and there was a strong smell of food. We changed to a much better room the next day. Breakfast was O.K but the evening meal was basic. Pudding was the same every night, cut up fruit, a blancmange type of pudding or small pastry squares. On really hot days a scoop of ice-cream would have been perfect. We decided to eat out one evening and asked if we could swop dinner for lunch. Lunch was actually much cheaper but they said it was not allowed. There was no negotiation which was bad P.R. as most hotels will do this. The cheapest bottle of wine was 30 euros which I thought excessive. On the plus side, Ljuba, the cleaner on floor one was very good, friendly and looked after us very well. The hotel was just over the road from a pleasant beach which was very good for swimming. The hotel pool was very good and in September we always found a sunbed. I think that they need to be a bit more imaginative with the evening meal to ensure that clients return.

Wonderful service and accommodation for American Xpress members, upgrade upon arrival, credit for the stay and access to the lounge, we’d definitely return to this hotel … wonderful friendly services by all staff, we received excellent services by towels beach staff, car parking support team, spa staff to room service and all front desk team were super friendly and supporting … incredible welcome warm welcome for AMX members, restaurants onsite too were superb … and the “tea time” in the lounge was just wonderful … including the staff ….again we’d return in a heart beat to this wonderful hidden gem of Croatia! Room was super clean, wonderful effort in making us feel welcomed and special …Highly recommending this hotel …

The Royal Palm is set a little outside the city alongside the coast in a complex of three other ‘royal’ hotels that provided a number of bars and restaurants to choose from throughout the day. This choice extends to the pools and gyms as well. Lovely well appointed and clean rooms. The en suite was well equipped and modern. Great sea views as well. The staff both in the restaurant and reception couldn’t have been more helpful. First time in Croatia. Lovely country, Dubrovnik city was really Beautiful. Most days busy from the cruise ships but its didn’t detract from the place.

Everything was great - fabulous location and breakfast, the staff was super pleasant and we had great views - the only thing I would change is the bed was a little hard - I know some people like that but was too hard for me! Also - I’ve seen this comment before but you have to be able to walk up several flights of stairs with your luggage and you cannot Uber or taxi directly to the hotel - it’s about a 5 minute walk + the stairs from the nearest drop off. Absolutely worth it for the view and location but just a heads up if that’s a no for you or if you need wheelchair access! It’s so over, the sea view is super beautiful, and you can watch the sunset at night. Although the dinner is a bit expensive, it is very delicious. In fact, it is more expensive than the ancient city, but the restaurant on the other side of the ancient city is not comparable to the taste here. There is a bus to the old town at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient.

My fiancé and I visited for 4 nights as he was taking part in the Dubrovnik triathlon. We booked with EasyJet Holidays and had a private transfer to and from the airport. Our driver both ways was excellent. On the journey into Dubrovnik he stopped at a viewpoint so that we could see the Old Town for the first time. Our driver on the way back to the airport told us more of the local area that we had started to see. First impressions of the hotel were really good. Impressive entrance and lobby area. The bedroom had a beautiful view of the sea, the nearer islands and the distant coastline. The room had a good sized wardrobe with hangers. There was a well stocked minibar if you want that kind of thing and what we thought was a welcome bottle of wine but actually had a sign next to it to say it was part of the display and chargeable. There are no drawers in the room so for a couple staying longer than we did, there is inadequate storage. The bathroom is stocked with nice shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, shower gel and body lotion. The pool area was clean but we only used the inside pool which was on the top floor which was a lovely space. The pool temperature said 27 degrees but was very cold. The jacuzzi was really nice as was the sauna and steam room! The reason for a low rating given that this is advertised as a 5 star hotel was the food, especially the evening meal, which was dreadful !! The breakfast was passable but I’ve eaten in better cafés !!! The restaurant was open until 10pm and one night we got there at 8.30 pm and the second time 9pm so nowhere near the end of service. We had to attract attention to order drinks. There is very little choice for starters. There were piles of soup bowls but no soup. The main course consisted of mostly overcooked meat or small bits of fish. The ‘veg’ last night was a choice of a pea slop in some form of gravy, a beetroot risotto that had no moisture and no taste and either potato pie or what I would call a hash brown. My fiancé and I got a selection of desserts as we’d hardly eaten anything and absolutely nothing had any taste or moisture - no ice cream, cream or custard available. Not even a cheese board and crackers. A really nice touch (not !) is that absolutely no one comes near to clear away dirty plates after each course and therefore you end up with a pile of leftovers and crockery in the middle of your table. Not a good thing at all !! The location of the hotel is very good and the No. 4 bus stops right outside and takes about 15 minutes to get to Pile and the entrance to the old town. (Get the Dubrovnik Pass which not only gives access to the City Walls and museums but also gives free bus travel). We ended up eating out twice because of the food and thank goodness we did; on a recommendation from a friend we went to the Panorama restaurant on our first night which is at the top of the cliff accessible via cable car - stunning views !
