Hotel la Paul

we stayed for a weekend in the la paul hotel. wonderful location: strategic proximity to the center of Sirmione and other towns on the lake; beautiful garden with sun loungers on the lake; friendly staff; The structure definitely needs to be renovated. However, the services are good, as is the cleanliness. we will return.

Hotel in an excellent location. The center of Sirmione can be reached on foot with a short walk. The hotel has private parking with access control. The hotel has a private beach with direct access to the lake. The wifi signal in the rooms is excellent. The room where I stayed was small, dimly lit and in a poor state of repair. The bedside lights didn't work, the shower drain absorbed water very slowly, the plants on the balcony were dry due to lack of watering. The bathroom was quite small and without a window. Small and smelly elevator, perhaps due to the carpet.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel during the week of August. From the photos seen on the web it inspired us very well and I must say that we were not disappointed, it was a very pleasant holiday. The location is strategic, about 1 km from the historic center, a walk that despite the African heat we took several times a day without problems. Our room on the first floor did not overlook the lake but the street and I'll be honest, I was more pleased because I love being among people and being on the terrace to watch the people walking below put me in a good mood, moreover at night there is no there was no noise because around 10.30pm no one could be seen on the street anymore. The terrace with chairs, table and a very comfortable clothesline, which I used all week! The large room, with air conditioning which made it cool upon our return to an African outdoor climate, the large and comfortable bed and I want to underline...very clean bathroom!! A pleasure to find it smelling clean when we entered the room and also the rest of the room tidy and welcoming. The only flaw, the shower which, although comfortable, flooded the bathroom with every use because it was only protected by a saloon-type door and even if you were careful, the water came out. However, the difficulty can be easily overcome given the pleasantness of the room. An annoying buzz from the electrical panel that could be heard in the silence at night, but we fell asleep immediately anyway because we were very tired and we listened. However, we really liked the room and we were more than happy to stay there! Abundant and excellent breakfast, 360° choice between sweet and savory, you could stay inside or outside in the garden, of your choice and given the heat we opted for this second option. There was only one thing I didn't quite understand: I don't drink cold water in the morning and there was only ice water available. Every morning I had to ask for water to be brought to me at room temperature, they gave me a glass without the usual bottle made available to everyone "because otherwise people will take it away...". In many years of travelling, such an oddity has never happened in any other hotel. The dining room staff were all very kind and helpful, except for the head nurse boy who regularly took it out on the other boys and girls and as a customer, witnessing this is neither nice nor professional. Of a unique dislike... We only had dinner in the hotel, otherwise we had lunch out and about, in the evening it was very nice to have dinner in the garden in front of the stupendous sunset over the lake: excellent fish and also the other dishes we chose, absolutely satisfied ! Unfortunately, the ducks that come from the lake roam freely in the garden, so there is a lot of dirt left by them on the floor, I would suggest cleaning it more because it makes everything else disfigure... The pool area ditto: the pool is obviously clean, but the edge swimming pool and flooring, dirty! I found it dirty an
