Macdonald Dona Lola Club

First time here and will definitely be back. We have always used our timeshare points in the UK before as could never get booked here. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, we had a one bed, beach front. The restaurant on-site is run by a third party and their staff were lovely, as was the food. The entertainment manager makes sure you enjoy your holiday - had fun at the wine tasting and he took us on a trip to a local the market - we used local buses to get around and explore. Entertainment is on 4 nights out of 7 and all acts were good. Compared to our timeshare in Forest Hill’s, this is better in terms of still providing the little extras in the apartment that Forest Hill’s used to eg cloth napkins etc.

Spent one week aat Dona Lola and used as a base for touring around Costa del Sol area. Facility was very quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and took care of anything we needed. Pool restaurant had a great happy hour and extensive menu. Workout facility and pool/sauna/spa area was nice also. My only issue is the jacuzzi was kept at 96F degrees when I normally like it to be 104F. I would recommend staying here.

Well positioned and well maintained resort with a a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. Boardwalk minutes away as indeed is public transport. Excellent entertainment on three nights in the in-house restaurant .

Love this place! Went with the intention to have a few days out but never ended up leaving the complex! Slav & the team in the bar were just amazing & service was fabulous. Entertainment manager was ace! Xbox club was great & Spanish lessons were brilliant. Reception staff equally friendly. Nice place, indoor pool and spa. Small but well equipped gym. Apartment was a 1 bed with a sofa bed. Perfect for 4 days, had everything but a washing machine (laundrette onsite). Too small for 2 weeks though, I’d want a 2 bed for a longer stay. Would definitely go back.

The leisure centre was well equipped and easy to access. La Plaza Lounge was staffed by a lovely girl called Carolina who worked extremely hard and was welcoming to all visitors. The food served was always first class, No matter how busy it was. Corrus provided excellent entertainment and was welcoming to all nationalities. Spanish lessons, Wine tasting and Paella demonstration with the help of Chris from La Plaza Beach. I'm only sorry I missed the garden tour because the gardens were exquisite. It was good to have an adult only pool. I had three treatments with the masseur Francisco but was expecting more services according to the brochure. " with qualified beauticians". La Plaza Beach was also staffed with excellent staff who were welcoming me by name and knowing my drink requirements by about my third visit. The Entertainment on Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays was really worth booking a table for. There was a minor problem with teeny tiny little antlike insects in the kitchen which appeared to come up through the sink. I kept the plug in which helped to control them. There was a note in the information book that said electricity would be charged at the end of my stay so i was being very sparing with the electric but it transpired that this only applied to Timeshare properties and not those booked through *******. If i had a worry about anything the staff in reception always sorted it out without any delay. Diego was the person I had most contact with.

Very conveniently situated, apartment was clean and well equipped,beds very comfortable,and on site bar and restaurant very welcoming and served good value food.Used both indoor and outdoor pools both of which were warm.Looking forward to rebooking in 2024.

Resort was easy to get to, clean and staffed with nice folks. It is a self serve so be prepared to carry type bags to your suite. While the furniture looked good (clean and fairly new), our wasn't the most comfortable. Foam in chair and sofa didn't provide good support,. Same for mattress. Maybe picky (we sleep on temperpedac) but it's the one thing we wished was different.
