The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you).The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.

Excellent stay in this lovely hotel. Staff are superb, really friendly and welcoming. Really go the extra mile for residents. Lovely restful nights sleep and gorgeous breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend a stay in the west cork hotel

Spacious Riverside Room in charming Irish town. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast in the dining room was a delight. The staff is tremendously helpful and friendly. The hotel is across the street from the Skibbereen Heritage Centre, which is a must-see for all Irish history buffs. The hotel beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have both a shower and HUGE bathtub. Very very nice old hotel with updated amenities.

Truly an authentic Irish hotel, we had a very enjoyable stay. The Irish music in the bar in the evening was memorable, bedroom was clean and very comfortable, and dinner was excellent. And the staff were so friendly.

This is a lovely family friendly hotel. We had a view of the river and saw a little seal fishing, much to my son's delight. The foyer is quaint and full of character as is the dining room. We had a beautiful meal with fantastic service and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend 👌

Was doing a family history tour of Ireland with my mum, this was a great place to stay. Clean, bright, nice views, beautiful hotel and food was fantastic. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious! Close to the town and the famine and history museum.
