Hotel Rendezvous - Skipton - N Yorkshire

Very nice hotel

It was a spacious room, nice and comfortable mattress. Although it is next to the main road, it was quiet at night. Lovely view to the back, they call it river view. It is a cannel where had a lot of ducks, geese and swan swimming up and down. A good place to stay.

Hotel comfortable, if a little dated, good, large, room and facilities staff friendly, breakfast excellent

Nice staff comfortable bed but that's all the good bits finished. In the hotel world this is a tired old lady in need of a good face lift. If you look past the surface gloss theirs broken furniture blocked drains. I know it says £104ish per room on here and that is what we thought we would be charged. Not the £169 we had to pay at checkout, as well as some phantom charges that had to be removed. ( We were not the only ones with inflated bills and extras added on) This was a 12 room block booking, guess what we won't be back.

Tired room and a consistent background hum from the leisure centre pool below throughout the night and terrible drain smells made it difficult to sleep. Room so so in terms of cleanliness and shower had black mold coated sealant 2nd time we have stayed and won’t to a 3rd as it’s just long past it’s best

We stayed for two nights on a travel zoo deal which was excellent value with breakfasts included and dinner allowance on first night plus a welcoming bottle of prosecco. The room was very good with a really comfortable bed. We had a problem with the shower which was fixed quickly and efficiently and certainly didn’t detract from a really enjoyable stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality and the restaurant food extremely enjoyable, made more so by the stunning views from the conservatory windows which could be enjoyed while we dined. Staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and accommodating with a special shout-out to Jack who, thankfully, sorted out the retrieval and postal repatriation of my Apple charger which I had left behind. He did this so patiently and without making me feel like a numpty for leaving it behind. We will undoubtedly return.

A well equipped hotel that is in need of refurbishment in places, I stayed in a twin room with my friend for just one night. I have stayed here before a few times a few years ago at the height of it's popularity. Reception: On check in it was polite but on check out the gentleman on duty did not acknowledge us for several minutes after his previous customer - even just a quick acknowledgement would have been acceptable! No thank you given on check out. Definitely needs more customer service training. The room: Was at the end near the pool, was small and not worth the cost. No air conditioning which meant the fan in the room was useful. The decor was a bit tired eg the leather padded headboards were slightly torn, and there was a big gap between the door and frame, my bed was in front of the door not much room between them. The beds were comfortable although not made up very well with the mattress protector and sheets loose. The bathroom door had partially frosted glass which was a privacy issue. The breakfast: The new hotel manager was hard working, a positive sign. Shown to table overlooking the canal, had to wait 15 minutes before someone took tea/coffee order - after someone's order who seated after us. The breakfast itself was ok, apart from running out of orange juice and a wait for some cooked items (good job I don't mind swear words as a staff member struggled with the hot food plates) . The bacon was overcooked but a positive was the choice - bacon, sausage, big hash browns, tomato, beans, mushrooms and 3 types of egg! Fresh croissants were delicious. Parking: Only 1 designated disabled parking space visible, definitely needs more and improved signage to show where. Will be looking to stay elsewhere in Skipton next time.

Loved our stay there , beautiful location beautiful hotel and amazing staff . Special mention to the general manager , nothing was too much trouble ( and loved Izzie the little super cute doggy ) .would most definitely recommend the stay !! Everything was absolutely perfect, we could not recommend this hotel enough , fantastic facilities e.g pool , sauna , hot tub , also fabulous food and beautiful veranda to watch the sunset over the Yorkshire dales , and a beautiful short walk along the canal to skipton town centre Thank you for a wonderful stay Paul and Danielle

We stayed 2 nights here. The staff are very welcoming. I understand its a new manager just in place. James, who was very polite and professional. The views from this hotel on to the canal are beautiful. The walks on the canal are very restful. Great for your wellbeing We would definitely go again.
