It is a self check-in hotel, no visible staff. You have everything you need for a night stay. Nothing fancy but totally acceptable. A nice restaurant is a few meters away on the way to the Falls. Breakfast was very simple basic, variety and good quality, hot and cold. Coffee/espresso machine is onsite 24/7 which was a great addition.

Bathroom was very small. Water in bathroom shower and sink smelled like rotten eggs. Need more counter space in room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

O hotel fica ao lado da cachoeira Skógafoss, seguimos um roteiro que a pessoa indicava ficar por ali, mas depois que conhecemos a região teríamos parado em Vik (tem uma estrutura bem melhor, mais opções de hotéis e fica bem próximo, uma meia hora seguindo na estrada). O hotel em si é OK, nada de mais, e pelo preço esperávamos pelo menos uma recepção (esse é mais um daqueles hotéis self check-in e check-out na Islândia, não gostamos de jeito nenhum, você não consegue falar com ninguém para tirar dúvida ou solicitar qualquer auxílio). De pontos positivos o café da manhã (pago por fora, mas valeu a pena), o quarto que é amplo e confortável, a localização (um lugar tranquilo, sem barulho) e a comodidade de estar ao lado da cachoeira que é uma das mais famosas da Islândia (caso queira passar mais tempo explorando a trilha do rio Skógaá, que é super bacana).

This was a perfect location for my four-night stay in southern Iceland. The hotel is right off Rte. 1 and is within walking distance of Skogafoss. Vik and Reynisfjara are less than 30 minutes away, through some awesomely spectacular landscapes.
A nearby venue (walkable from the hotel) is a curated, three-part museum consisting of historical artifacts; 20th-century technology—each in its own contemporary building; and an outdoor museum of several buildings that were moved here from their original 19th- and 20th-century sites. The tech museum also houses a quality (and good-value) restaurant that operates during museum hours.
Hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and always obliging. Breakfasts are served in a spacious dining room with views of adjacent farmland and mountains. My single room had a large bathroom. Amenities include an outdoor hot tub and a sauna. I would definitely stay here again.
