Comwell Rebild Bakker

Skorping|0.34km from Museum Rebild -The Danish-American Heritage Center
Our review for Comwell Rebild Bakker Hotel. We stayed here from 10-15 April 2022. Overall we did not like our stay. A summary of what we experienced with full details below: Good things: - check-in lady was friendly and helpful. - free and plenty parking. - close to Rebild National park. Things that need attention: - Sleeping pillows are horrible, small and flat. - They forgot many times to refresh our towels when we requested fresh ones as per procedure. (leave dirty ones on floor) - The shower has a curtain which makes the cubical very small when the curtain draws towards you when wet. Outdated. And makes the shower room completely wet after a shower. - Our 5 months baby had a little cut on her arm, and left a small blood stain accidentally on the bedsheet. Cleaning never refreshed the linnen even though they must have seen the spot. They only fold the linnen. Never refresh them. - They don't clean used mugs from the room, like a used tea mug with some leftover tea in it. - Cleaning don't clean the common areas like the hallways very well either! We left a mug and glass on a side table in a hallway one day, 3 days later it was still there. - The hotel allows dogs. They piss everywhere on the walls in the hallways, and it seems the carpets never get a good clean. It stinks and is very unhygienic! - children screaming and running, stamping on the floors in the hallways make the rooms noisy. Not nice when having to put down a 5 months year old baby at 7pm. - The swimming pool water is very cold. - The bar was mostly unattended when we first arrived. - Breakfast buffet is ok. But the warm items like scrambled eggs and bacon rashers are not warm and many times burned resp. Also not any variety of the buffet. Every morning it is the same stuff. - First night we had to have dinner there. There is only 1 day menu, not any a la carte. (which makes you think, what if I'm vegan? Then I can't eat anything there.) We had for starters 1x variety of tomatoes. These were 4 little candy tomatoes they also serve with the breakfast buffet. It looked simple and cheap. Mains was a pork medallion which was OK but again cold. (plates are served cold,no wonder the food is cold). Worst of this dinner was the waiter with the weird haircut (shaved sides, kwif on top) has no hospitality sense whatsoever. He served the starter for my partner and my main at once. And when he described the menu in poor English, the dessert we also ordered only once was cancelled as they had run out. Instead we could have had a pannecotte but seeing the first to bad dishes we decided to not have any dessert as we thought that might be a weeks old left over pannecotte. We left and never ate any evenings again there. The wine he recommended tasted like piss. Maybe it's a bad brand, or maybe it was left open for too long. His ability to take out empty plates, asking if everything is alright, perhaps a new drink, and timings, was very poor too. And all that for a relative expensiv
