Had our wedding here on Friday. We had less than 20 people, including kids, and the level of intimacy in our function room, the library, was phenomenal. Tracey, the wedding planner went above and beyond ensuring everything went without a hitch. The food, absolutely unbelievable. Hands down, the best wedding food we've ever had. Not one person had the slightest complaint. Staff were excellent, nothing was an issue. Beds were comfortable, everyone said they had a great sleep. We cannot thank everyone enough, a cracking venue.

We stayed here a couple nights on St. Patrick's Day weekend. Though it was a busy place, the staff was helpful in accommodating our request for an early check-in, something that is of course not guaranteed and depends on other guests' time of departure. Good food, comfortable rooms, relaxing environment.

The Conyngham is a quaint hotel, fresh, clean, and with a welcoming & kind staff. Our room was spacious and bright, overlooking the street below. The breakfast is very nice & the tea, excellent. We found it a convenient location from New Grange to Clonmacnoise via Monasterboice.

Food is 10/10 Have stayed here last year for a wedding in Slane and forgot to review, but went for dinner here on Friday and it was absolutely beautiful. Good services, cosy dinner area, good menu and the food was 10/10 the quality was second to none. We particularly liked the teriyaki salmon noodle and the red Thai prawn curry. Well worth a visit

We are currently attending a wedding in the hotel. The meal and service were fantastic. The major major let down is the noise in the family room 9. We have 2 kids aged 5 and 10 with us and we may as well be sleeping in a nightclub. Reported to reception and they said there is nothing they can do. They said we should have requested a quieter room but now non available. Shocking behaviour.

Stayed for one night DB&B, as a surprise for my hubby’s upcoming 50th birthday. On arrival, we met the receptionist who was friendly & chatty. Our room was ready,(earlier than expected) so we popped the bags off. We had been upgraded & the room was bright & beautifully decorated. The hotel is old & the stairs are steep, but this adds to the charm of the hotel. We went to the bar(which was busy with locals having lunch) to have some Tea & Scones which were very tasty & just from the oven. We ordered some Prosecco but the bar staff informed us that they’d just received their delivery but Prosecco never arrived & she was extremely apologetic. We headed off for a little walk & visited the local bars. Boyle’s being our favorite. We had a lovely meal in the hotel that evening which was a lovely menu & the food was very tasty & well presented. The waiter was friendly & professional & service was prompt. Starters : wing’s & Camembert. Mains: steak & salmon. Dessert: only had room to share. A nice wine too which was recommended by the waiter. - Head Over Heels 🍷. After dinner, we headed to Boyles local bar for some live music - a great bar & ran by a lovely guy John, very friendly & he seems to know many of his patrons. We slept well apart from a vent/generator which was on the roof just outside our bedroom - it was quite noisy & did disturb us. The bathroom was ok, in need of a bit of TLC, the extractor fan was so loud & sounded almost like it would take off 🚀. Overall, a very nice stay. We would return. Well done to all the staff. The lady looking after us for breakfast(which was freshly made to order) was also lovely & friendly. She even sent one of the staff to the local shop for a sliced pan as they had run out of bread. The management need to look at the process of placing orders as a hotel shouldn’t be short of bread or Prosecco (considering a wedding was on on the day of our departure)

We booked into this hotel on a recommendation from someone attending the same wedding we were attending at Tankardstown House. We specifically required a room suitable for a disabled person who uses a wheelchair. In this respect, the Conyngham Arms Hotel is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE and I would advise anyone with a disability to think very carefully/ask some penetrating questions before using this hotel. We were placed in what I presume had originally been the stables of Boyne House – which is some distance from the main hotel. The access to Boyne House was never explained to us when we booked and therefore, took a phone call and some fumbling around in the dark and the rain to work a key pad which opened the gate so I could drive the car in… This then entailed me going to the hotel reception (in the rain and dark) which entailed a journey on poorly lit pathways through the grounds of Boyne House to pick up the keys. My friend’s room (he being a wheelchair user) was on the ground floor and stank of mould or foul drains or something similar. We did get used to it, but I could do without it. The bed was too high for my friend and not really suitable for a wheelchair user – where bed height is usually just slightly higher than a hard backed dining chair. The bed was higher than this and therefore dangerous. Because my friend uses a CPAP machine at night (to aid breathing) I cannot share a room with my friend and had a room upstairs. The room was okay, but the toilet cistern filling device was broken and kept ‘refilling’ all night, making a noise (wasting gallons of water). The room had an emergency green light which could be turned off – and was intrusive (I like to sleep in total darkness). Getting to and from the Conyngham Arms Hotel for our evening meal was frightening, as it was very difficult to see as the path was lit at ground height and this made it impossible to actually see the surface of the path. There is a heavy gate to negotiate at the end of the path (which can only be opened using a code (in the dark)… this leads to an overgrown path with a step at the end – not possible for many wheelchair uses without assistance – and not easy for the person pushing the wheelchair). There is no direct disabled friendly access to Conyngham Arms Hotel – to access the dining room we had to go around the side and we were given access using a fire door. I complained about my room and the staff were extremely helpful and changed my room. It was hard work using the disable room – without my support my disabled friend (who lives independently without care input in his own home) would not have been able to manage in the room. Our last morning was DISMAL simply because it was lashing it down with heavy rain (not unusual in Ireland!) and therefore there was no way we were going on foot to the dining room (otherwise, we’d have been soaked). Getting in and out of the car to put in key code numbers to get through the various gates to get out of the g
