Cill Aodain Court Hotel

Booked hotel for one night, received a call the next day askeling was there anything the hotel could do for us before our arrival, I requested a quiet room, lady said no problem. Arrived at hotel, put on the third floor and no lift in the hotel. For two OAPs this was ridiculous. Room was at the back of the hotel. Very dated decor. Dirty carpets, torn curtains (see photos), bin not emptied after last guests flies flying around the bin). Guests next door switched on fan or shower at 11.50pm. Rang reception at 12.30am to say about noise, they rang back to say guests were not answering the door. Reception rang again at 12.40am asking could we move to another room, absolutely ridiculous and we not the problem. Fan finally switched off at 8.50am the next morning. Breakfast didn't provide cereals, juice, jams and the pure minimum of food. Never seen the like of it before. I've paid the same money for other hotels and had a much better experience. Certainly will not be returning. Very disappointing. A lot of work needed to upgrade this hotel to bring it up to standard.

This hotel was excellent. Every member of staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. The food in the restaurant was always good. It was very popular. The bar was a lovely place to sit and relax. The atmosphere was just great. We spent a lovely 3 nights here.

Went recently in 2020 and I have to say i had the best experience . Food delicious , first class Staff and place looked amazing . Back to visit family last month went for dinner and I was very dissappointed . I can't say nothing bad about dinner as it was delicious . But place look a little bit neglected. And Staff was more interested on phones then customers. So sorry for that place as first time visit was such a great experience . No longer what it used to be.

We stayed for five nights and the hotel was perfect as a touring base. Our room was comfortable, warm, clean and quiet. The hotel staff were very pleasant and efficient. Having an on-site restaurant was very convenient. We would stay again.

I stayed at the Cill Aodain a few months back and I have to say the staff were so attentive. The girl on reception (I think her name was Anna) was so welcoming with that smile of hers, she also gave me some lovely ideas on places to visit and helped me with my bags. I will definitely be staying here again and hopefully I will meet her again.

We went for a birthday dinner, the food was great, seriously good food, I can't recommend it highly enough. The service was a little slow, but very friendly. Will definitely return again. It's a bit pricey for eating out often but for special occasions is worth every penny.

On arrival, I was taken back by the decor or the hotel. Very nice and comforting. The staff were really friendly and the toilets were immaculate. I was surprised to find Seafood chowder on a menu in a place inland. It was very good and the homemade brown soda bread was delicious. Good value too. 2 bowls chowder,1 homemade soup ,and glass of coke was €33.00.

A great hotel; very relaxed; great food and excellent staff.

Another great stay at the Cill aodain home to see family and friends for St Patrick’s weekend … the late breakfast is great aswell after a late night out Beautiful food and all the staff so helpful and lovely … will def be back again soon Thankyou
