Slipper Island Resort

We recently stayed here and absolutely loved it! Ginny provided clear and easy to follow directions for the marina parking and boat schedule time and was so easy to deal with. Alec is a fantastic skipper who is very knowledgeable about the area and was really awesome to talk to, we had some choppy conditions heading back on our last day and he handled them with ease. Both Ginny and Alec are down to earth people who are so easy to deal with. When we arrived on the Island we were shown to our chalet which was clean, tidy and fully equipped, we were left to our own devices. I especially loved that the knives were sharp, so often you go places and the kitchen knives are blunt. Small detail but one that makes a difference when trying to prepare a meal. There is a gas hob and oven as well as a BBQ. The island itself is gorgeous, with posted tracks to various walks around the island including the lighthouse - There's also an easy to read map in your room with points of interest. If you head to the jetty in the early evening you will be able to watch plenty of sting-ray and fish. We even saw a Bronze Whaler Shark on our 2nd night. The water is crystal clear and the sand is beautiful. There are kayaks around for you to use. It is a fantastic place to escape to, unwind, relax and switch off from the faster paced world. Bring your own Beach Towels. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Skipper Island with Ginny & Alec and look forward to bringing the family + friends back next time!
