Holiday Inn SLOUGH - WINDSOR by IHG

We stayed here from 12th–16th April and, honestly, it was a frustrating experience from the very first night. Within a few hours of arriving, we had to move rooms three times. The first room was right next to the lift and in poor condition. The second had no working air conditioning, the window wouldn’t open, and the room was extremely stuffy. It was also very dated and had what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet, which is completely unacceptable. We ended up in a third room for the rest of the stay, but it still wasn’t great. The room was very outdated, with worn carpets and old furnishings that looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades. The sink didn’t drain properly either, which just added to the feeling that basic maintenance wasn’t being kept on top of. The beds were okay, but nothing special and not comparable to other hotels at a similar price point. There were also simple service issues. We asked for an ice pack to be stored in the freezer, but it was put in the fridge instead, leaving us without it when we needed it. On check-out day, which happened to be my birthday, we were given free parking. While that was appreciated, it didn’t really make up for the overall experience, and it wasn’t clear whether this was due to the issues we had or just the occasion. Overall, the hotel feels very tired and in need of a full refurbishment. Between the condition of the rooms, the need to move multiple times, and the lack of attention to detail, it didn’t feel like value for money at all. We were close to checking out and booking somewhere else on the first night. I wouldn’t stay here again unless significant improvements are made.

Basically it’s okay . But ,See photo, there is a spider there when I picked up the phone. I killed it so it will not go to my bed. Please improve the hygiene.

Holiday Inn SLOUGH - WINDSOR was a good hotel, just 10 minutes away from Windsor castle, the room was big and spacious, comfortable beds and good shower

Good clean hotel, most people had good service, only downside is hearing loud American tourists at night.

Brilliant hotel. Nice big clean rooms with a good power shower. Bar area was very good and it had a good selection of drinks.

This is the first time I’ve stayed in many years, in fact it hasn’t changed it’s like go back into a time warp back to the 90s. The staff are very nice and the breakfast was very good (they have real eggs). Now the not so good stuff. The rooms are basic and outdated. Our mattress was old in fact it caved in the middle. Being a IHG member they had a loyalty week giving away prizes which was a nice touch but they removed the free bottle of water (not good) All in all a 6.5/10

Good honest hotel with great staff. Be careful to register your car as the tickets cost more than the room.
