Venue was exceptional. Greeting when we arrived was great, received a brief history tour, showed us around the different rooms, where breakfast would be. Took our bags straight away and carried them to our room. Room is spacious and luxurious, great view from the balcony. Dinner - Greeted and shown to our table quickly but that’s where it went down hill. Ordered a bottle of wine which then after 1.50 hrs told us it wasn’t available. Water took in excess of 20 mins to get and had a glass missing. Food was exceptional. But the we had empty plates left in front of us whilst staff walked around. Service at dinner was very disappointing. Would rate the service 1.5 stars out of 5. Breakfast Day 1 also took over 30mins to order again. People sat down after us and had food ordered before us. Again very disappointing with service. Breakfast Day 2 Much better as there was a Manager on shift who knew and was instructing young worker on what to do. Seated quickly, ordered quickly a very different experience and was very good. Would recommend staying here, staff were very friendly and food was excellent but professional service was missing.
