Tru by Hilton Smyrna Nashville

We had a great stay! Place was clean and welcoming. Only issue was we couldn't get connected to the wifi but wasn't a big deal for us as we were just using it for our phones so didn't ask the front desk for help. Breakfast was good. Check out was easy. Lounge/lobby was great, lots of comfy seating and air hockey foosball and a pool table.

Check in was good. The breakfast bar was, also. The floor of our room was dirty. The linens on the bed were average at best. The fitted bottom sheet kept slipping off. The hotel was quiet. Appreciated that. I have seen Hilton do better

Great amenities, horrible front desk staff, cramped room. 2 of the front desk employees were horrendous and one was just indifferent and kinda rude. Check in time is 3pm, but we, along with other guests, sat waiting in the lobby for our rooms until 3:30. Not super easy with little kids in tow while it’s raining out. Staff did not apologize for our rooms not being ready, and then accused me of harassing them because I asked if the room was ready after check in time. I’ve never experienced that level of poor customer service. Rooms are small, smelled like cigarette smoke, shower door was broken, and there’s no surface area for your stuff. I would not advise families to stay in a double queen. It was very cramped with 2 adults and 2 little kids compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in. Breakfast and pool were great. But… The cons far outweigh the pros for me. I won’t be staying here again.

We have stayed at this Tru hotel on many occasions with sporting events in town. Always happy with stay and will stay again im sure.

NOTHING UNIQUE OR ESPECIALLY GOOD. CHECK IN STAFF WAS RUDE, WHEN WE ASKED ABOUT THE HANDICAP PARKING, HILTON POINTS WE WERE BLUNTLY TOLD WE BOOKED THRU THIRD PARTY AND SO SERVICE HAD TO BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO BOOKED WITH TRU/HILTON FIRST. REALLY? I WOULD NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. AND, IF THEY ARE GOING TO TREAT PEOPLE WHO BOOK WITH ******* THIS WAY, YOU DON'T NEED THEM ALSO THEY CHARGED US MORE FOR PARKING THAN YOU SAY IN THE ******* DISCLAIMER.

I've stayed at several Tru's, but I was disappointed with the breakfast area on Sunday. It was very messy and there was absolutely no food available during breakfast hours from 9-10am. They finally brought some food out past 10 but definitely did not live up to the other Tru's I've stayed at. The coffee area was also a mess. Coffee stains everywhere and the coffee was so strong it was barely drinkable. The room was clean and check-in was quick and easy.
