The bedliner is little bit dirty . No wifi all around . We had an accident in which we are locked outside the room because there is ice stuck inside the lock and we cant open with the key . The staff is very friendly and helpful to help us open the door with some lub . The room is very darkly lit .
In summer it is renowned for gold panning . However in winter you can only do it outdoors .
The hotel Restaurants are very great .

Pour une seconde expérience en Finlande. Très déçu des prestations proposées. A l'hôtel,les chambres sont biens (quelques mètres carrés de plus surtout pour ranger les combinaisons grand froid auraient été necessaires). Les chambres sont dans 2 bâtiments différents de la salle de restaurant. Pour les repas, pas de choix un seul plat pas forcément typique finlandais. Pas de dessert le midi uniquement le soir et toujours pas typique. Le p'tit déjeuner est classique, la base. Pas de viennoiseries. Tout est en supplément (raquettes ski de fond sauna). La tenue grand froid est fournie mais il faut la rendre la veille du départ (si tu veux encore profiter de la tenue pour essayer de voir les aurores, c'est foutu). Il est préférable de rajouter une centaine d'euros sur le séjour et d'avoir des prestations de meilleures qualités en passant par scanditours. Notamment à pohtimo à Rovaniemi que je conseille les yeux fermés pour un séjour Finlandais. L'animateur de Jumbo sur place était sympa mais il n'a pas de moyens. Pour les activités départ chien de traineaux de l'hôtel bien. Scooter des neiges pas génial départ de la ville et un peu court,une heure de plus aurait été sympathique pas de traversée de la gelé en scooter. Pas de pique nique dans la nature. Balade avec les rennes attachés les uns derrière les autres. Vous ne conduisez pas.

Un seul menu le midi et le soir imposé pas le choix pas de dessert le midi et ceux du soir bof bof... Pas de viennoiseries au petit déjeuner. Les chambres sont propres un peu exigues pour ranger les combinaisons grand froid et les lits 1 personne un peu juste pour quelqu'un de fort. Tout est payant dans le pays où il y a plus d'un sauna par habitation le sauna est payant 20€ pour 1 heure. les raquettes ski de fond hors de prix en 2 jours on a payé la paire de raquettes. Pour le prix les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur. Passez plutôt par Scanditour plus spécialisé dans les pays scandinaves. Donc très déçue de cet endroit

Komfortabelt og rimelig opphold, godt det finnes slike alternativ til de nyere og dermed overprisede øvrige overnattingsalternativene i finsk Lapland. Det at det var peis i hytta var et pluss!

We had an amazing time at Tankavaara in December 2023. Firstly the area in winter is absolutely stunning. Secondly the staff were fantastic in the bar area and guides and driver. Shout out to both Kimmos! We chose to stay in the Sompiotalo Deluxe apartment which was a 10 minute (very enjoyable) walk from the reception. It is a great apartment. In terms of activities we did the northern lights snowmobile tour with Tankavaara (Kimmo 2) which was AMAZING. We also did the Lappish Dinner meal in the traditional Kota and indoor winter gold panning with Kimmo 2. The good museum is also surprisingly really good. We booked husky and reindeer safaris ourselves from Tankavaara recommendations. Absolutely fantastic time.
