Where do I even begin? The staff barely speak a lick of English and are extremely rude. God forbid any misunderstanding or emergency crop up or else they look at you with daggers as if it's your fault somehow. Otherwise, they're just dismissive and jaded. They don't care about customer service. Most of the rooms on the first floor are basically housing for the Indian immigrant family running the place. Every time I come here, something new is broken. The first time I visited last year, the complimentary breakfast area was closed despite being advertised on the website at the time, supposedly due to COVID, but this is a lie. They closed it because they were too cheap to maintain it. They later stopped advertising it, because they had no intention of opening it up again. The next time I came, the elevator was broken. They have no intentions of fixing it, because it's been over a year and it's still broken. This most recent stay, not only are the side doors broken and won't recognize your card, but the HDMI port on the tv was physically broken, and the toilet seat was falling off. What's next? No air conditioning? The rooms have a musty smell and the hallways reek of nicotine. Also, it's right next to train tracks that are always busy, so I hope you like waking up at 2am to train horns. I was bitten by a tick during my first stay, and this year people were reporting a roach infestation, though I didn't see it myself. On one stay, the fridge was filled with mold. And another time, basic items like soap and shampoo weren't included and I had to ask for them. The only reason I have stayed here so often is it is the only hotel in or near Soddy-Daisy. All others are in the bigger city area of Chattanooga. Without competition, that's the only way this place could stay in business.
