Solana Matorral Hotels with Gym

This was our first visit here and it certainly won’t be our last. From the moment you walk in it’s as the hotel says “an oasis of calm”, everything is geared towards you having a stress free and relaxing holiday. We discovered this hotel a little by chance having stayed on the island several times before - we have now found our go to holiday location. We booked independently and made use of the free private transfer (we landed at 20.00 and were having dinner by 21.30 thank you). Special thanks to Fabio, Ivan, Begonia and Christina (I think) on reception who are so helpful and sorted out any issues. Staff in the restaurant and bar are all super friendly, efficient and work so hard to clear and re lay tables for you especially if there is one you’d like to use. The chefs are very good too, always taking time to check everything is cooked thoroughly. A nice touch at the buffet is the use of small ramekins of salad - avoids using too often the same serving spoon and avoids you taking too much. Desserts too are individually portioned. Pool area is clean and well maintained every day and was never too busy. Cleaning in the room was good and efficient and bedding and towels can be changed when you want. We hired a car for a few days and were able to use the hotel’s own underground car park for free - another added bonus as parking can be an issue locally. Special thanks to Wim for his brilliant saxophone playing, super rendition of “Baker Street”. All in all, the hospitality, staff and efficiency make this hotel on of the best we have stayed in, thank you.
