The system doesn’t allow one to rate it as 3,5 stars but that is my rating here. The pros are the stunning views, nice pools and good staff. The cons are the sheer size of the hotel (it is vast and not easy to navigate) and the isolated location. The latter point is the most significant for us and, had we known before we booked it, would’ve been a deal breaker. Port Sóller, which is lovely, is a steep and long walk away so the hotel lays on a shuttle, in the form of a 6 seat van. Taxis are almost impossible to source from the hotel to arrive for a set time and therefore you are reliant on said van to get to town, unless your idea of fun is walking down the Eiger. This means standing around in a queue and communal travel. It takes you back to when you were 18 on your first holidays without parents. Whilst this is nostalgic, it is probably not what you want to be doing when you are staying in an establishment such as this. The room was fine, if a little soulless (sea view junior suite), Es Fanals is good and the sunset bar is very good (be sure to book it beforehand).
