We werden zeer hartelijk onthaald door Claudia en Marc. Super vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en vrouw. De kamers waren zeer proper en gezellig. Personeel is ook zeer vriendelijk en alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. We hebben ons hier echt thuis gevoeld.

This is the third time we have stayed in this guesthouse for a longer period of time and we have an almost friendly relationship with the hosts Claudia and Marc (from Hamburg). A very nice and lovingly furnished guesthouse with very nice staff and great and extremely helpful hosts. The entire, very spacious property is very well maintained and lovingly laid out with a great pool and outdoor area. The room was large and very clean, comfortable beds, everything was great. We really enjoyed the excellent, individually prepared breakfast every morning. The location is perfect for us to take trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Cape Town or the Cape. There are also plenty of free parking spaces directly on the property. This area is absolutely safe and you can, for example, drive to Stellenbosch very comfortably for a stroll or for dinner without having to worry - even in the dark. Thank you very much for the great time in this guesthouse, an absolute recommendation 👍👍👍

We ended our holiday in this wonderful place. This guesthouse is mainly visited by German-speaking travelers. The owners, from Germany, received us very kindly in English. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast is the best we were served during our month-long vacation. The pool is a nice size and there are some nice rest areas. Everything is provided in the honesty bar. The guesthouse is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Recommended.

The guesthouse was very well maintained, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast service can only be recommended, the cleanliness of the pool did not live up to the standard

Nice room, large, clean, balcony. Lovely bathroom Limited view to the ocean. WiFi too slow for Netflix or teams/zoom meeting. As an IT-manager we measured the speed and it was not sufficient. Smoking is permitted on your terrace or balcony. So if you don’t smoke, you have a problem and have to sit inside. Any comments are not appreciated by the management and will be answered with ‘rewrite your review or we’ll make sure you’ll be blacklisted at Booking and any other hotel/b&b in the area’. Ridiculous! Comments are meant to help future guests and the management for improvement.

We had a wonderful stay at Southern cross guesthouse in Sommerset. We had a nice room( suite upstairs). It is calm and safe. The location is perfect to explore the wine region near Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and day trip to Hermanus. The Hosts are communicative, very helpful und friendly. They speaks german , too. They give suggestions where to go and give recommendations for restaurants. We will come again ! Many thanks Claudia and Marc.
