Wir haben in diesem Guesthouse bereits zum dritten Mal über einen längeren Zeitraum übernachtet und haben zu den Gastgeber Claudia und Marc (aus Hamburg stammend) ein schon fast freundschaftliches Verhältnis. Ein sehr nett und liebevoll eingerichtetes Guesthouse mit sehr nettem Personal und großartigen und äußerst hilfsbereiten Gastgebern. Das gesamte, sehr großzügige Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll angelegt mit tollem Pool und Außenbereich. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber, bequeme Betten, alles prima. Das vorzügliche individuell zubereitete Frühstück haben wir jeden Morgen sehr genossen. Der Standort ist für uns perfekt geeignet um Ausflüge nach Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, nach Kapstadt oder zum Kap vorzunehmen. Ferner stehen ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze direkt auf dem Grundstück zur Verfügung. Diese Gegend ist absolut sicher und man kann z.B. sehr angenehm nach Stellenbosch zum Bummeln oder zum Abendessen fahren ohne sich - auch bei Dunkelheit - Gedanken machen zu müssen. Sehr herzlichen Dank für die großartige Zeit in diesem Guesthouse, eine absolute Empfehlung 👍👍👍

Wir waren jetzt zum dritten mal im Southern Cross Guesthouse und sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Es ist einfach "wohlfühlen vom ersten bis zum letzten Augenblick" bei Claudia und Marc. Neben den wunderschönen Zimmern, dem Pool und der günstigen Lage sollte auch noch das Frühstück erwähnt werden!

Op deze heerlijke plek hebben we onze vakantie afgesloten. Dit guesthouse wordt vooral bezocht door Duits sprekende reizigers. De eigenaren, afkomstig uit Duitsland, ontvingen ons heel vriendelijk in het Engels. De kamers zijn ruim en van alle comfort voorzien. Het ontbijt is het beste wat we tijdens onze maandlange vakantie voorgeschoteld kregen. Het zwembad heeft een mooie grootte en er zijn enkele mooie rustplekjes. In de honesty bar is er van alles voorzien. Het guesthouse ligt in een veilige en rustige buurt. Een aanrader.

Das Guesthouse war sehr gepflegt, die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit.Den Frückstücksservice kann man nur weiterempfehlen, die Sauberkeit des Pools wurde dem Standard nicht gerecht

Nice room, large, clean, balcony. Lovely bathroom Limited view to the ocean. WiFi too slow for Netflix or teams/zoom meeting. As an IT-manager we measured the speed and it was not sufficient. Smoking is permitted on your terrace or balcony. So if you don’t smoke, you have a problem and have to sit inside. Any comments are not appreciated by the management and will be answered with ‘rewrite your review or we’ll make sure you’ll be blacklisted at Booking and any other hotel/b&b in the area’. Ridiculous! Comments are meant to help future guests and the management for improvement.

We had a wonderful stay at Southern cross guesthouse in Sommerset. We had a nice room( suite upstairs). It is calm and safe. The location is perfect to explore the wine region near Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and day trip to Hermanus. The Hosts are communicative, very helpful und friendly. They speaks german , too. They give suggestions where to go and give recommendations for restaurants. We will come again ! Many thanks Claudia and Marc.

This is a gorgeous place. It was comfortable, the atmosphere was cheerful, we were given a great breakfast with a full range of options both in a buffet and to order, it was tranquil in a residential location with distant sea views, easy access to places around.
