Very nice and comfortable stay! Has a lot of nice amenities, good food & drinks. Some noise from upstairs rooms (if you’re downstairs), but otherwise very quiet.

Unfortunately the pool and spa were closed during our stay with no advance notice when we booked the room. Beyond that, beware the beds -- we have never strayed in a luxury resort with such soft mattresses, which rendered me with a back in spasms for the next 4 days after we left. It's unconscionable that a "new" mattress that is softer than a sponge cake could be put into a room (#57). If you cherish your back -- enquire about the mattress and check before you unpack. We also hosted a luncheon for 10 people on the Sunday at Layla and was disappointed with the lackluster service -- all this will amount to us staying in other luxury resorts next time we are in wine country.

This is our favorite spot for a getaway. The property and guest rooms are beautiful, the newly renovated spa and pool are fantastic, excellent food and service, and perfect location in Sonoma with easy access to the town square.

My daughter and I recently took a trip to MacArthur Place Hotel and Spa. I had encountered a grueling health crisis over the last year and a half and my daughter was graduating from school and I was celebrating a significant birthday. However, as celebratory as the situation warranted, I was very tired and drained. I reached out to the concierge, Debra, for assistance and was treated with an enormous amount of attentiveness, help, and respect. I explained how important this trip was, and the meaning behind certain special requests. What we received from initial contact forward was above, and beyond what we expected. The front desk was very accommodating, housekeeping was absolutely lovely, the bellhops were extremely polite and on top of things, and the restaurant (Layla) was scrumptious! We had a second trip planned at another location, but we decided that we didn’t want to fly there because we already knew we were comfortable at MacArthur Place. I moved forward and canceled that trip and we have another trip planned to return. The restaurant recommendations were spot on so we plan on revisiting those as well as the massages we enjoyed on the property. All of your staff represented top notch and allowed for one of our most memorable vacations yet. When you have a young adult state that they plan on making the location their location of a lifetime you know it went well. I hope management sees this message, and then everyone gets the props. They deserve for being AMAZING!

Book my stay at MacArthur Place for my birthday and I was NOT disappointed. The service was top notch and the rooms were well appointed. Location couldn’t have been better. Dinned at Layla and that was outstanding. This is one hotel we will be coming back too!!! Thanks MacArthur Place for a wonderful birthday weekend!

I recently experienced the refreshed Spa at MacArthur Place and absolutely enjoyed my prenatal massage and the new facilities at the Spa! The best part of the prenatal massage was that they had a specialty pregnancy cushion which made for a very relaxing massage experience as I didn't have to lay on my sides. I was really impressed with the new facilities and amenities in the spa and the treatment rooms were stunning. I can't wait to come back and book another treatment soon!
