Hotel is very old and outdated. No microwave in the room or spot for mini-fridge so it just sits in the walkway. The shower handles are broken and not working correctly. Stay somewhere else if you can.

This hotel has a lot of historic charm. But our room needs to be taken out of circulation. Room 208 has 3 frosted windows. ( probably because the view is of a building next door. ) One of the frosted windows is 6 inches opposite an apartment window next door where the occupant was talking on her cell phone much of the afternoon. I would sound proof this particular window if possible. The staff was very attentive when we asked for a hair dryer. We could not understand why there were no hangers in our room. The staff looked but could find no hangers that would fit. So the hotel does have character but at least our room needs updating to make it a worthwhile stay.

I booked a reservation through ******* and cancelled the reservation in plenty of time to avoid any penalties but was still charged by Sonora Inn for my stay. I called the hotel 4 different times and was told the Manager was not in and left messages each time and it has been over two months and still have not received a call back. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and they have yet to hear back as well. I even sent two emails to the hotel with a copy of the cancellation confirmation with date and times.

Rooms are antiquated with window units to heat and cool the room. VERY limited electrical outlets for plugging modern devices. Room was noisy from street noise. Parking situation was confusing and should be better explained in hotel description (parking is in the lot of the hotel behind this hotel because they own both, but that is not readily apparent). “Breakfast” was sp**** but clean. Perfect location for downtown access.

A very cozy hotel with indoor corridors. The building is an old building but has been remodeled. The portable heater works great. The are restaurants and a bar across the street. This is very convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Charming hotel! Clean and comfy room. The only two small negatives were no hair dryer or small size shampoo /conditioner. No big deal, but the website listed them as included. But other than that a great non-chain place to stay! Close to great shopping a d restaurants!
