All are very good, rich breakfast, comfortable room

Outstanding hotel, great views, well appointed rooms, excellent food. Close to Sorrento village, close to marina, lots of excellent restaurants nearby. The hotel even gives you breakfast bags if you checkout before 8am, never seen that anywhere.

One of the best hotels to stay in the area. I believe is located at one of the best spots in Sorento with beautiful verandas and gardens with sea view.The breakfast room is so beautiful and the rooms spacious and very clean. The staff very polite and helpful

Quite simply the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. From the moment we checked in to when we (reluctantly) left, this was paradise. Superb location with Sorrento on the doorstep. Exquisitely decorated, the hotel and its lush gardens provided an oasis of calm The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We enjoyed every public space the hotel offered, from cocktails in the bar to lunch on the terrace overlooking Vesuvius. We were particularly grateful for hotel advice and help re tours of Herculaneum and Villa Oplontis.

Un magnifique hôtel où tout est parfait. Le grand jardin où nos filles on pu jouer sans déranger les autres hôtes. Le salon pour passer l'après-midi et jouer aux échecs s'il pleut. La piscine est très grande, idéal pour faire des longueurs et que les enfants s'amusent de l'autre côté du bassin. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. La vue sur la mer est à tomber (malheureusement ce WE là la météo était plutôt brumeuse). Et cerise sur le gâteau, j'avais oublié ma veste dans un restaurant du quartier; la réception est allé la récupérer et me l'a renvoyée à mon domicile par UPS dès le lendemain. (Nous n'avons pas pris nos repas à l'hôtel, donc je n'ajoute pas de commentaire sur la restauration.) Un grand bravo à toute l'équipe et au manager..

So we checked in for just a night while staying locally just a treat to see if it’s worth the price tag. Ok drinks are a little over the top but all hotels are overcharging! Lunch was amazing views, service quality were all there obviously helped by incredible weather. Room and main building again typical Italian style but the evening meal whether it was a misunderstanding during booking but we explained we had 90 min for dinner due to us leaving for the three tenner show. Main turned up 70 min after we sat down didn’t have enough time to finish and missed sweet which we paid 1/2 board at start shame but there you go. Explained next morning to front desk who where not going to budge but eventually a satisfactory end was reached. Finally if we are back we would like to return as everything was stunning .

L'hôtel est absolument somptueux, parfait pour la dolce vita. Les jardins sont très bien entretenus, la salle du petit déjeuner et restaurant est immense et splendide, le choix du petit déjeuner est également vaste et très bon. La piscine est assez grande, et agréable pour y boire un apéritif. La plage située en contre bas de la falaise, est très bien aménagée, cependant les ferry s'arrêtent très souvent devant, et il y'a quelques nuisances sonores... Nous avions 2 chambres dont une au dernier étage, qui n'était pas bien isolée, nous entendions un bruit épouvantable de vibration qui nous empêchaient de dormir, nous avons donc déménagé au milieu de la nuit et une alternative d'une chambre plus bas nous a été donné. Donc à éviter le dernier étage pour les personnes au sommeil léger. L'autre chambre donnant côté route, est un peu bruyante on entend les bus passés. Dans l'ensemble un très bon établissement qui propose également un parking privé pour la voiture.

This hotel is right out of the movies — unforgettable! We WILL return. The location, staff and architecture all add to a most relaxing experience. There is an elevator down several levels to the Mediterranean, where the set-up beautifully facilitates swimming and sunning.

Stayed during a wedding anniversary trip to Sorrento and thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Grand Hotel Royal. Amenities at the hotel were excellent, especially the terrace from which one can watch the sunset while enjoying cocktails. What really stood out was the service - all the staff we experienced were so nice. Special thanks to Marriana and Paulo on reception for their help with planning and organising our activities, to Lorenza and Mauro for their service, and finally to the Terrace restaurant staff who gave us a wonderful celebratory dinner experience looking out over the bay to Mount Vesuvius.
