Lovely old hotel with delightful staff. The brochure did not explain that two of the restaurants were closed until 1st May and although the brochure spoke glowingly of the hotel lift which could take residents down to a bathing platform neither were open until 1st May! The Citalia rep we were told had stopped coming to the hotel and although we had booked and paid for transport to and from the airport for three people, neither of the drivers had been given this information and were only expecting two people, even though we had emailed the citalia rep whilst in the hotel to make sure our return trip to the airport was for three! Because there was only one restaurant open in the hotel with a very limited menu we were forced to leave the hotel for most of our meals and were unable to have snacks unless we ordered room service ( we chose not to use this option). None of this information was available until we reached the hotel. The ten days B&B therefore seemed somewhat overpriced for the services provided.

Excellent service and such a fantastic view. Last visited this hotel 35 years ago and it was just as elegant and beautiful... Also considering how pricey some top Sorrento hotels can be it was good value for money. Just visited bar for drinks ....

As an experienced travelers since 2009 we can state that this accommodation needs to work hard with the staff as they can make down the reputation of the hotel. The hotel itself is outdated with small rooms and uncomfortable beds. But the worst is the bath with fixed shower tube, without an alternative small shower tube… It was extremely uncomfy to take a shower. Now about the staff, which should have pass some necessary courses to became more guest friendly, but the culmination of the rudeness is the person who seemed to be responsible for the breakfast zone and his behavior of impudence. This is a note to the GM of the hotel to take actions for preventing communications of this person with the guests. For more details we can email directly with the management of the hotel. Just one person from the staff makes feel like you never want to come back to this hotel….. Amazing Sorrento and the rude personal of this hotel….

What a wonderful hotel! Everything from the space, to the restaurant, views, location, and staff. Will definitely go back. We traveled with my daughter who has celiac disease and they were so accommodating at breakfast with gluten free bread and muffins. Day two, we didn't even have to mention it - they just brought it over as soon as we were seated. The restaurant staff is amazing - the food was incredible - the views to die for - fantastic terrance for afternoon cocktails - incredible central location.

I have been here with my sister, the staff was very kind, friendly and smiley from the reception personnel to housekeeping to restaurant staff to vale.reception guided us to really nice restaurants in Sorrento. the restaurant personnel was nice and friendly every morning. They have a beautiful breakfast room with a sea view 180 degrees, a perfect start to your day at the Amalfi coast. We had a pleasant stay with no problems. I recommend👍🏻

Perfect location. Everything within walking distance. Beautiful grounds, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Have a drink at the bar or have your breakfast and take in the amazing view. Restaurant staff wonderful. Three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is in a lovely quiet location in Old Town. 10 plus minute walk from the train station. At one time, the hotel was a Grand hotel. While still, being pristine in cleanliness, the rooms are very dated. But I will take clean over new anyday. The bar was perfect for afternoon drinks. The free breakfast was adequate. Our biggest complaint was our room was well over 80 degrees. A request was made to fix this problem, but was never done.

Our hotel concierge service was exceptional, similar to what one would expect at a luxury resort. Before our visit, we bombarded concierge staff with email questions which they readily answered, in English. During our stay, they advised us, made multiple dinner reservations for us at some of Sorrento’s most popular restaurants, and arranged for us chauffeur-driven excursions. We highly recommend this hotel for many reasons, and one being the helpfulness of the front desk staff. Thank you all again for your exuberant hospitality!
