The shower was not operational in Room 8 and there was no soap in the handbasin. Surely two fairly basic things to get right in a hotel room. Not particularly cheap either although handy for the A30. However, the Reception staff were very welcoming. The whole hotel looks rather sad and unloved although the views over the fields at the back were rather lovely.

Kelly and her staff were excellent, very helpful and welcoming but the building is very tired. Travelodge please invest in the property to give your excellent staff a facility they deserve

Stayed here for a one night stop over. hotel was easy to find, check in was straight forward. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel is in a good location, near to several pubs and our eventual destination in Cornwall. Staff we met were friendly and efficient. Despite being slap bang next to the A30 the location is quite nice with lovely hills nearby.

Woke up to the sound of cows mooing in the fields. Gorgeous views across the fields. Watched the cows having their breakfast of hay. Clean room. comfortable bed.

The hotel is easy to reach from the A30. It is very close to Dar**oor. The hotel is clean and comfortable . All staff are kind and helpful

This is a basic roadside motel, no frills. Geraldine is a gem! Warm, friendly welcome and fast check in was much appreciated after a long road journey. Clean room - strong wi-fi, good desk, plentiful sockets, comfy bed & good hanging space. Bathroom had 2 towels, good shower pressure, nice liquid soap. Liked that the windows could open, unlike some competitors, and good heater overnight. FYI the Little Waitrose in the adjacent petrol station is useful.

i don’t know what has happened to the hotel since we last come but we will definitely not be returning. Every part of the hotel was dirty, the room/bathroom was covered in mould. Poo left in toilet from previous occupants. dirty cups, communal areas look like they haven’t seen a hoover and every corner had thick cobwebs. The hotel gave a very dirty feel and that was just the inside of the building… I think most of the staff from our last visit have also left which was disappointing. The new staff don’t really speak and spend most of their time on their phones. Honestly, i’d rather pay an extra £20 and go elsewhere…

Room given to someone else. Ended up with ground floor room, facing path. No nets, no privacy, and road noise. Didn't need this. So much for a decent sleep before another long drive. Thanks.................................random words

The reception team were really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very old and needs bulldozing. The ceiling tiles were grotty and loose and there was an odd smell everywhere that I couldn't identify. It was bad enough that as soon as I left I needed to bag all my belongings and wash them. The room itself was clean, but there was mould all over the bathroom ceiling and around the bath. It was fairly quiet with ample parking.
