Great hotel if you want quiet and relaxing stay. No food on some days so check but I found ordering in fine on those days. The hotel rooms are spacious and the hotel and gardens are great. Fair walk if you want to go into town but that is not what I chose this place for. Would definitely stay again.

we stayed in the courtyard rooms. run down and not very clean. staff generally rude. signs everywhere giving a hostile vibe, such as any noise and you would be immediately evicted; no food allowed on the premises or immediate eviction. a real shame as the venue has great potential. pub nearby called salmon leap was excellent and did great food, drinks and very welcoming.

We loved how rural the hotel was..a sense of olde world. The food was amazing and the barman was so friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We seen reviews about the place being cold..we had to turn off our heating so definitely not our experience. The hotel upgraded one of our rooms too. Loved it!
