Quick note on the hotel layout - our room was at the very back of the hotel, it's quite a long walk. We were fine, but there's no way our elderly parents would have made it to that room without help. My husband twisted his knee on our last day, we were grateful it didn't happen earlier in the trip. We stayed in a king suite with a mountain view. The view was alright, looking over the parking lot but the mountains are always pretty. The suite itself had a decent layout, with the bathroom & living room separated from the bedroom. This is perfect for us because my husband likes to sleep in and I'm up early. The shower was really good, plenty of room & multiple settings on the shower head. Something probably not worth mentioning was that the toilet paper holder is useless, the roll will fly off every time, but whatever. The hotel itself has some really cute decor, from whale tales for the faucets to huge margarita chandeliers in the lobby. Overall the customer service was good, but we did encounter some rude people at the front desk and valet. I don't want to bash the whole hotel since most of the staff were great. When I filled out a survey that was emailed, I got a quick response that it'll be addressed. We're still debating if we'll return or not since there are a ton of options at the lake.

Went to South Lake Tahoe and stayed at Margaritaville. From the moment we reached valet to check out, it was a wonderful experience. Israel at valet was incredibly nice and helpful! Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Great location! Recommend!

Emmanuel and Ángel were exceptional & provided the best service. They made sure to make us aware of all the amenities & services available. We had a great time! We can’t wait for our next visit and will make sure to bring family and friends along

I wouldn’t say this hotel has been renovated. Just re-themed. There are still popcorn ceilings and the same outdated and very noisy heating system. The walls are super thin. Almost every day of our 6 night stay, we had to ask the concierge for an item that housekeeping forgot to replenish. Usually towels or toilet paper. One day, we came in from a long day skiing and realized the same bathmat we’d left on the floor (as instructed by the hotel) with the towels to be replaced had been picked up from the floor, folded, and placed on the back of the toilet with no replacement given. It was wet. The laundry is coin laundry and it’s only one washing machine and 2 dryers on the 8th and 9th floors. This is not how the laundry situation was described by Heavenly when we called to inquire. The “complimentary” ski valet is usually not staffed and it could take a long time to get or return our skis during peak hours. One positive. Every single person we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was always quick to send an item up if we asked for it. The car and ski valet team were always friendly. Absolutely no complaints about the staff.

The service at Margaritaville South Lake Tahoe was great! I was supposed to check in 4pm and they got me in 3 hours early! The Valet and Front Desk were super helpful. They brought my bags up quickly. I’ve been coming to Lake Tahoe for years now, and I hope this place becomes a staple for South Lake!

Hotel is beautiful and clean. Staff is exceptional! Big thanks to Emmanuel, valet/bellhop manager, for going above and beyond to accommodate us! Ordered room service and enjoyed our dinner and desserts. Kid friendly, pet friendly. 100% will be coming back!

While I rarely am one to write reviews, my family and I were so amazed by the service that I had to make an exception. From beginning to end everything was phenomenal. To start, the bell service was top notch. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful to ensure our trip got to a good start. Our car and bags were treated as if it were their own. The restaurants were great as well. We had a nice dinner and drinks at Landshark and then Joe Merchant’s was great to get a bite before we hit the slopes. Location was perfect as well! It was a quick walk to the gondola and also near the ******s. Overall this was perfect for our family’s first trip to Tahoe! We will definitely be sure to come here again!

Great new remodel. The Valet and bell staff provide phenomenal service. They were able to accommodate my team under challenging circumstances with a very early arrival. Emmanuel in particular is great. He was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable.
