We arrived on a very rainy Monday and the bell tent was available straight away. The views are amazing and the space is great for a 4yr old, 6 yr old and 9 yr old to play around. We felt safe and looked after. The bell tent has charging point (USB) and a log burner. Outside there is a fire pit we used it to BBQ and sit around and a picnic bench. We also booked the air stream which was brilliant, it had a heater a fan and plug sockets… a small sofa and a table and chairs, fire pit outside. The toilet/ shower block was very clean and as I have never camped(glamped) before the facilities including the kitchen were welcoming and well used. On a negative there was a smell outside the toilet block and the walk up to the hostel was steep but walkers will not see this as an issue. Our family of 8 had a great time. Thank you.

Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, 15 pounds a day, including breakfast. 3, the hotel is large and has a lot of parking spaces. 4. The meal is great, classic English. 5, the hotel toiletries are good, is the British Royal Development Supplies MB, the bathroom's heating rack is open in the summer, the towel will be done overnight. The hotel is located next to Brockhole Pier and has a large garden facing the lake. It is quiet and is a good place for a relaxing holiday. There is a bus stop at the entrance, which is convenient to various places, but the fare is not cheap. The rooms are small and the decoration is upscale. Breakfast is exactly the same every day. There are no commercial outlets nearby. Eating at Ambleside or Bowness. I have tried a Chinese restaurant in Bowness, and the expectations cannot be too high.

Just had a brilliant 3 night stay at Butharlyp Howe and only bad thing was not being able to stay longer. Staff were friendly/helpful and room was great. All facilities very clean and tidy. Location is faultless - just a short stroll from the village and a great start point for walks like Easedale Tarn and over to Great Langdale or shorter strolls like Ambleside. Would recommend the breakfasts which are tasty (especially the veggy sausages) and hearty and very good value.
