Very reasonably priced single room that was well appointed with all the right things. Reception was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but included in the very reasonable price. Solid value for money.

The George is a wonderful hotel, located in the market town of South Molton. Our 2nd time staying here, we arrived in the afternoon and were warmly greeted by the team. The spacious and comfortable room was beautifully appointed. The bed linen was crisp and inviting after a long day touring Devon. We enjoyed a drink in the bar in the evening. The hotel boasts a wonderful selection of single malt whiskies. After a great night's sleep we had a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend the eggs bennedict which was cooked to perfection. Thanks to the team for a relaxing stay. We will be back. Tip: If you have time, go to see Lynmouth, an old picturesque village perched on the cliffs. It sweeps down to the sea with a wonderful history.

We stayed here for a night in March and it was a fantastic stay. The rooms are well proportioned, spotlessly clean and decorated very nicely and there wasn’t a mark anywhere on anything. We were so impressed. Breakfast was lovely and we’d both recommend staying here to anyone.

excellent hotel in the centre of The town, car park is behind the hotel, but you need a free card for the on/off site parking which is free, didn't have a dinner, but breakfast was cooked fresh, very tasty, nice clean hotel

What a lovely hotel, the whole experience was fabulous. The bed was so comfy and snuggly we asked for the company name to buy some of the high quality bedding. Breakfast was so tasty and hot, thank you

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay, great value, spotlessly clean, and with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great quality and cooked to order, the bar was well stocked with a great selection of drinks and the car park free. Thanks for making our brief stay a good experience.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with 5 star furnishings, surroundings and staff. Breakfast was 10/10 and a great slecetion of agternnon teas and drinks from the bar. Definitely be back again. Ideally situated for exploring the market town and the devon countryside. Well done to Mark and his team

I had booked a single room here so was very pleased upon my arrival to be upgraded to a double with no extra charge. The room was nicely decorated and quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I had lovely breakfasts with fresh ingredients. There were several guests there, so for a small town in Devon in February, I thought The George was doing well, and deservedly so. I felt completely comfortable as a woman staying on her own, so would definitely recommend this hotel.
