Cleaning was good, everything else was good too, the staff was super friendly as well, but the mattresses are horrible and need to be replace! They were very worn out.

We booked a partial ocean view, there was no view. The only place for breakfast is the Mexican restaurant. It would be nice for a continental breakfast even if u pay for it.
The beds were good.
The pool was really cold.
Our room didnt get cleaned until very late everyday.

Overall, we had an excellent stay at this hotel. It is a bit dated but we didn't go there to hang out in the room. The view from our room was beautiful. The biggest complaint I have is regarding the towels in the room. The towels are so old and disgusting. They used to be white towels but now sport a sickening, dirty gray. Since we were only there for two days, I opted to grab a towel from the fitness center on site on the second day because I really didn't want to use those nasty bath towels. Breakfast was delicious. Kudos to Luis, our server on the first day. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we asked for. It was a pleasure to have Luis serve us. Dinner the night before was at On The Border which is inside the hotel. Addy took care of us there and she did an amazing job. Very pleasant young woman and we are only sorry we didn't get to see Addy one more time before we left. Big thanks to Addy. The room had air conditioning that worked well, however, it was very noisy. This was room 435. Not a huge deal. Better that it was working and noisy than not working at all. Balcony in our room was really super great to have. We sat out and watched people on the beach and the beautiful ocean waves. Overall, our stay was great. The fitness center had everything you need to get a decent workout in. We didn't try the Starbucks but it's nice that it was there. Keurig coffee maker in the room is a nice touch. Beach access is steps away. Very convenient. Can't wait to go back to SPI. We would definitely stay here again but please get new bath towels!

We had a friend over from the UK so we decided to take him to South Padre. The hotel was as expected, staff were friendly and we had a good room. We paid for breakfast up front, and that was worthwhile doing. The hotel is convenient for the bird sanctuary and the turtle rescue center. Also, it is right on the beach, which is nice. I still don't like the way the restaurant is organized. It was the same before. It always seems to take ages to get an order in. The food is good, though, and the cocktails.
