This was literally a stop over during Covid an essential trip. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room upon arrival looked clean and we literally just crashed. However, inthe morning we discovered a pair of dirty socks from previous occupants left on the side cupboard and sachets of sweetener between the sheets and the mattress! Unacceptable at the best of times nevermind during a worldwide pandemic. Reported to staff who apologised and are handling complaint. Staff very apologetic but simply unacceptable.

We stayed here last night and I wasn’t impressed at all . Firstly we had phoned up to ask for a room with a bath , as I have fibromyalgia and we never stay anywhere without a bath as it helps me go to sleep easier . We was promised our room had one . When we arrived we realised our room had no bath . Asking to be swapped to a room that had one at reception, we was told the hotel was completely full , they had no staff to change the room and so we had to stay in the room we had been given . Down stairs in the reception area and bar is quite modern and nice . Our bedroom was we equipped with a fridge , kettle and iron board , but the decor was very dated … a room that looked to have been attempted to have been modernised on a low budget . Wood chip type walls were still a feature and the toilet , which was a separate room , was grubby and looked unclean . The room also smelt of cat wee , I have no idea why , but it did . The bar was extremely short staffed and we felt very sorry for the one bar staff that was rushed off his feet . We couldn’t even have a coffee before we’d went to our room , totally understandable from the bar staffs point as he was so busy he’d turned the machine off , but from a hotels point if view it was poor … you desperately need more staff to accommodate the large hotel you have . Not having a bath left me with a restless night , with little sleep . The breakfast was good though , definitely a plus point . I didn’t like that there was signs asking if you’d paid your parking as hotel staff wouldn’t inform you of the charges what happens to those who can’t read ? A nice £100 fine is what they’ll probably get … come on novoetel , you need to tell and warn your guests , you have that responsibility to look after them . This hotel is not very friendly for people with conditions , All in all I don’t think we’ll be staying in a novoetel anytime soon , it wasn’t the best .

There were 8 of us. 5 adults and 3 children. We had a family room and 2 other rooms. It was only 10 minutes from the family party we were going to. The hotel had an event booked, with music. They did warn us in advance, and the music did go off at midnight as promised. Unfortunately the design of the hotel is that the family rooms are the closest to the function room. We went into the bar for food (nearly 3 hours in the car). The bar manager rearranged tables and furniture to accommodate us all together, nothing was too much trouble. Above and beyond. Totally understanding of hungry 1 and 5 year old, whilst not misbehaving, were loud. The gluten free option one of our party chose was not available, so they accommodated with another meal, and didn't charge the extra. Other staff were also great, offering to help on the corridor etc. Next time we visit family, this will be the first choice. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Only wish we had had the time to visit the spa.

Great location just off the M54, easy to find and excellent free parking for guests. The hotel is modern and pleasant and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with a king size bed, large tv, coffee machine and mini fridge, plenty of phone charging sockets and something I miss in a lot in hotels these days; a small dressing table area. The bathroom was spacious with a large walk in shower. We only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. The breakfast area was large and spacious with a great selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cheese and cold meets along with a wonderful selection for a cooked breakfast. I'm just sorry that we didn't have time to use the spa facilities which looked excellent. I can't recommend the hotel enough!

What a fabulous experience at this Holiday Inn Express! From the moment we entered we were welcomed with cheery staff who were always smiling and only too happy to help. The Hotel is very clean! Obviously the carpet will have some marks but you can see that they have gone to great lengths to try and remove these. Our room was so clean. The bed linen was pure white and the towels were almost new and very clean and fluffy. (The only downside are the room doors) As the rooms all have to have fire doors it is a little stressful every time a door has to be slammed shut! Be it morning, noon or night there is no option but to slam the door as it doesn't lock otherwise (Room 131 which I did report) Breakfast was all you would need and different options to accommodate everyone. I am Coeliac and was given GF cereal and GF bread toasted separately in the kitchen and covered in cling film to bring to the table obviously reducing the cross contamination issue. What a great relief! My only criticism would be how long it takes to order food through the day, this takes a while and reduces the availability of staff to serve from the bar, but not a biggie. Would definitely recommend this place and highly commend the staff for such wonderful Customer Service obviously guided by good Management.

We stayed on a spur of the moment decision having spent the previous night just outside Bridgnorth . The lovely lady at reception ( Donna ) was polite , funny , very helpful and informative . We asked for a double room , but were only able to book a family room , the additional cost was not worth worrying about and gave us more space in the room . Our room was clean with everything easy to see or find . When i enquired about eating out , I was guided into Shifnal , less than five minutes away by car and found exactly what we wanted ( Tapas bar ) . Even though the hotel was quite full , it was very peaceful & we could hear no traffic noise or any noise from the car park area . Everything was clean & tidy , staff a credit to the company and we will gladly book & stay again . A peaceful place to rest our weary bodies after a hard days enjoying ourselves Thank you Donna :)

Excellent stay as always, very friendly staff. problem with first room got upgraded to a bigger room. David was very helful with anything that i needed he was there to help👍🏻 cannot fault my stays here
