The Pilgrim Inn

The room was messy when I arrived and the restaurant was no better. Sat down for a nice meal only for it to be over priced, mediocre and took a ridiculous amount of time to come out. The drinks were careless and the pub just looked dull. Wont be staying or eating here again.

The food was amazing and lovey staff thank you to the head chef Nathan for beautiful food poped in for lunch today with my brothers and ordered a club sandwich and I can say best club sandwich I’ve ever eaten thank you for a lovely time definitely going back

Stayed in March with my daughter in the Twin bedroom for 3 nights, b&b. On arriving the check in was smooth and we were shown our room. Ground floor, first impressions were great especially the bathroom. However, when unpacking it became apparent that the cleaning was not up to scratch and in fact the wall next to the bed and radiator was covered in thick dust, the drawers had not been cleaned out and were dirty with hair and other detritus and there were multiple 'hairs' on the bathroom floor. These particular issues were rectified quickly, but it did make me feel as if the room should have been more thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. Another negative for me were the pillows which were very flat and thin. It's a shame as the duvet was clearly feather filled and it would have been a much better experience had the pillows been newer/fuller. The massive positive however, was the service! As mentioned check in was easy, breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and bar staff very helpful. I would stay again for sure, but would suggest more thorough cleaning and checking thereof and new pillows for that room! :)

Great, friendly staff. Lovely room and bathroom. The stand alone bath and big shower were was so nice. Everything well presented, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was decent if not outstanding. The thatched buildings are well preserved. Next to beautiful fields though fairly busy roads nearby so not totally quite but peaceful enough. Shame the TV was not a Smart TV. The toilet seat was wobbly and toilet handle a bit faulty but this didn't distract from a recommended stay.

Fantastic stay, only one night, which was only spoilt by the two cleaning ladies having a load conversation, without thought for guests outside our door! Everything else was memorable, check in was welcoming and efficient, with impeccable manners shown

Amazing Place to Stay

This was our first visit to The Pilgrim Inn since it was refurbished, and we were very impressed with the new restaurant. It had a very relaxed feel to it, and the food was lovely! The staff were very efficient. We appreciated the open log fire.

Weekend at The Pilgrim as a base to visit Southampton, Christmas Market. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and the room was a good size and spotless, breakfast was excellent with a good number of options available. Had an enjoyable stay and would recommend The Pilgrim as a place to stay close to Southampton.

No. I’ll send my thought to The Pilgrim. Suffice it to say that we loved it
