This is a great centrally located guest house / B&B. It is clean, friendly and the breakfasts are terrific. Tan is the live-in manager and she is fantastic and has a good knowledge of Southampton A number of B&Bs are using the current situation to stop providing advertised breakfasts. Polygon provides a very good breakfast, so take advantage. On a side note, a number of bars in central Southampton are asking for ID (passports, driving licences) for all adults (even over 25)

My heart sank when I pulled up outside as the place looked very rundown. But we had a very warm welcome and the room was basic but clean and we slept well. The breakfast was delicious with a good range of items. A good reasonably priced basic option.

I booked for my son and I to stay for one night. He throughly enjoyed himself the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. Close to town so was a bit lively outside on a Friday evening but overall great place for a great price. We will definitely go back

Well we were pleasantly surprised by out last minute booking here. Couldn't fault the cleanliness and new feel of everything in the room. Carpets seemed new and bed linen very clean. Would have given 5 stars but the double bed was a small double and the bathroom sink was tiny. Fan in the room much appreciated. We received an email saying breakfasts were not happening but thankfully the staff didn't get the memo so our breakfast was lovely. Perfect for our overnight stay prior to our cruise.
