Premier Inn Southend On Sea (Eastern Esplanade)

Hotel was in good condition and is located next to the sea front, but just far enough away from the city beach that it was fairly quiet most of the time. Bus stop outside the hotel was very convenient and there are various amenities within walking distance. Staff were the perfect level of friendly and helpful. They brought me an iron when i needed it and were always pleased to help with anything at all. Breakfast was nice for a buffet type and it tasted great. Would definitely stay again. PI hotels tend to be very consistent with their standards which gives me confidence to book them. This hotel did not let that down, would definitely stay again if I need to in the future.

Very convenient amenities with safe off-street parking, and cozy pub restaurant. The room was large and clean with convenient mirrors. The full breakfast option was fantastic with hot, fresh food and many options. Loved the soda stream and ice machine!

Really enjoyable stay at the hotel but very understaffed. That said, the staff who were on duty were brilliant and a special shout out to Aaron who coped so well on his own behind the bar. Room was great and the food very nice. Lovely stay but more staff needed (can probably now say that about every hotel in the UK sadly).

Beds very comfy and front desk staff lovely and helpful. Room was large and great view. Issue with number of beds resolved, no problem (again, the helpful staff). Only - quite significant - problem is temperature - v hard to control, don't think responded to controls? - and lack of opening windows. (Also - Brewer's Fare breakfast doesn't actually provide all on menu, and various other issues. At kids eat free price it's okay - but at full price would be really annoyed.)

Had a one night stay here. Was easy to check in and had a decent sized room,.working tv and comfy bed. Had a big bathroom with bath and shower Resturant on site which we went to, food and drinks were reasonable Short walk from pubs and other places to eat

Great room; spacious for two people, good sized TV, good shower and a bath too. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the darkened curtains a real treat. The room could have done with a more thorough clean but it was OK. Staff were lovely and even lent me an umbrella for my walk. The food in the adjoining restaurant was of poor quality, luke warm, especially breakfast. They also needed to refill the items quicker. a 10 minute brisk walk to shops was OK. Restaurants nearby to choose from. Overall good for a weekend!

This Premier Inn is as perfect as you could expect. The location is good and on the sea front, the reception staff were welcoming and the room was perfect and clean as could be. There were big problems with the adjoining Brewers Fayre restaurant but I found out that is independently run from Premier Inn so I shall deal with that in it’s own review and not deduct any stars from this review. The lady on the Premier Inn was very nice and understanding about the appalling service in the restaurant and offered a refund for our prepaid breakfast - superb customer service.

Hotel was great, everything as expected. Brewers Fayre attached to hotel was not so good. Evening meal on day of arrival was poor and the service was not good, having only one team member on the payment till meant really long queues to pay. Short staff meant many tables had not been cleared away when guests had left. Breakfast was better, but lacked staff again, buffet was OK but took a long time to replenish. Poached eggs were ordered and took 15 minutes to arrive.

we stayed here for one night. Check in was very good the team were fantastic. Our room was clean and as you expect from a Premier Inn. There was a funny smell in the corridor which we could smell a bit in our room not sure what it was though
