Lovely sea front hotel, the room we had was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The best part of the hotel is the staff, everyone we met were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. If we’re back in Southend we’ll be back at the Camelia.

I came to stop at the Camelia Hotel for work purposes, I was not disappointed in any way. The staff were very helpful and made the short time I was there a very pleasant experience. The one meal I ate in the Hotel restaurant was excellent, the lamb shank was cooked beautifully and was very enjoyable. The breakfast was lovely to, I had the full English and was cooked to my liking. The room was comfortable and well appointed, overall I had an excellent experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in Southend.

Excellent stay. Friendly staff, lovely well kept rooms and the restaurant had plenty of choice, was well priced and staff were great. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Hope to visit again.

This is our 2nd stay at the Camelia, the rooms are spacious and very clean, with all that you would need for your stay. Myself and my godmother had 2 rooms in the main part of the hotel, my boys had a room in the annex, which was very large and they were over the moon with it, especially the huge shower heads. The staff as always are friendly and welcoming and very polite. The added bonus is that you can also sit outside looking out to the sea while having a drink and something to eat. Great atmosphere.

This hotel never fails to provide , the food both evening and morning is very nice - Jamie and the team make the evenings pleasant and I always feel welcome - Always a good atmosphere with locals and guests a must stay when in Southend Rooms are lovely and again the atmosphere I don’t think can be matched anywhere in Southend for a hotel as a solo traveller the hotel team morning and night always go that bit further to make you feel welcome

We went for afternoon tea which was wonderful. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were beautifully presented and of a high quality. The staff could not do enough to make the experience wonderful. We will visit again as soon as we can. Hopefully for a weekend. Thoroughly recommend.
