1-Overall, I am quite satisfied with it and it is very clean. 2-The lobby service is also very good and very luxurious. I thought the online reviews said it was very dirty, but I didn't encounter it during my actual stay. The gym is also pretty good, and the location is relatively convenient for traveling.

A hotel with bad reviews. I thought the lobby was more a**ospheric and the rooms should be good. As a result, there was a pungent smell of disinfectant as soon as I got out of the elevator, and the aisle lights were dim and old. The room was even worse. We booked 2 different rooms, one of which was the Murphy King Room, which was not a bed at all, but a foldable low bed. The overall feeling is old and dirty. The key is also arranged in the room opposite the ice machine, which is super noisy. In short, the experience is very poor. Because we checked in very late that night, we could only make do with one night and leave immediately on the second day. It seems that the black occupancy rate of this hotel is very high. Anyway, on the day we checked in, the entire 4th floor was almost full of blacks.

When I arrived at the hotel, the room type I booked was completely gone. When I checked in, it was confirmed that the room should be arranged every day, but the result was not arranged at all. The facilities are relatively old and dusty.

Nestled in a serene and secluded area, The Westin Hotel embodies the essence of Zen and relaxation. From the moment you step into the lobby, the ambiance exudes tranquility with its minimalist design, natural materials, and soothing color palette. The gentle sounds of a cascading water feature greet you, immediately setting a tone of peace and calm. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and designed with a focus on simplicity and comfort. Large windows provide breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, while blackout curtains ensure a restful night’s sleep. The bedding is plush and inviting, promising an exceptional level of comfort. The meditation garden, with its meticulously maintained landscape and gentle breeze, provides an ideal spot for reflection and inner peace. Dining is an experience in itself. The hotel offers a menu that focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted to not only delight the palate but also to nourish the body and soul. The serene setting, coupled with attentive yet unobtrusive service, enhances the overall dining experience. Service at the Westin Southfield is impeccable. The staff is genuinely warm, attentive, and always eager to enhance your stay. They have mastered the balance between being available when needed and respecting your privacy. Overall, Westin Southfield is an exceptional retreat for those seeking a luxurious escape into Zen and relaxation. Every detail, from the architecture to the service, is designed to provide a seamless and serene experience. Whether you are looking to unwind from a busy lifestyle or simply want to indulge in a tranquil getaway, The Westin Southfield Hotel is the perfect destination.

The location of The Westin isn't bad. You can be in downtown Detroit in 15 minutes and to most places in the suburbs also within 15 minutes. Outside of the location, I'm struggling to say anything good about the property. Zero Bonvoy elite status recognition, unless you consider a spin of a tacky wheel at check-in to win bonus points or something else recognition. That's tacky and just unprofessional. No welcome letter or pre-arrival email. I was never addressed by name. I was actually somewhat scolded by the Front Desk for attempting to check-in before the appointed time. I was never thanked for staying.  At check-in I was also never offered any assistance with luggage or directed to the elevator. There was no bellman.  The Westin is supposed to be a full-service hotel. But lunch is only served from 11 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday. There's no food between 1 and 4 pm and no lunch or daytime food during the weekend. So much for all-day dining. Closing the restaurant and bar for 3 hours in the afternoon makes no sense whatsoever. At least keep the bar open.  They have valet parking but there seems to be only one valet attending who is running everywhere. It can be a considerable wait to drop off your car or retrieve the keys. No newspapers in the lobby or in the restaurant. Why can't you have some Detroit newspapers? Or even the Visit Detroit magazine? The small gift shop off the Front Desk didn't have any Diet Pepsi for more than a day. No wine.  My room, a king on the 12th floor, is supposedly an executive room. There is no executive or club lounge. There was also nothing in the room to suggest that it was a special category or somehow any different than a standard, entry-level room. No robe. No slippers. No corkscrew. No mini-bar. The room itself was very tired. Peeling wallpaper. Heavily scratched and scuffed furniture. Outside the TV from 2016 and maybe some wallpaper or art, the bones of the room looked a good 15-20 years old. Especially the bathroom and the furniture. Some of the furniture looks like it was refinished instead of replaced. Accessible electrical and USB outlets are few and far between. The outlets on the lamp at the nightstand were *****ped and couldn't support a power plug for my laptop. I had to use the outlets on the floor.   In terms of housekeeping and cleanliness, the room looked superficially clean but a closer inspection revealed otherwise. There were what looked like food crumbs and even coins under the furniture. Face cloths had hair on them (presumably from hair on the countertop). There was a long strand of hair on the countertop in the bathroom. Individual toiletries have been replaced by wall-mounted dispensers. So instead of getting your own shampoo or conditioner you get a dispenser that countless other guests have used. The dispensers are not tamper proof either. The dispensers were also mostly empty. Only one bar of soap was provided at the sink basin. No soap for the tub-shower.  The Lobby Bar has zero

My family and I recently stayed at your hotel for five nights, and while we enjoyed our overall experience, we were disappointed with the cleaning service. On one occasion, they only provided one roll of toilet paper and emptied the trash without making the beds or replenishing body wash. As regular guests who consider your hotel our home away from home, we hope this issue can be addressed to maintain the high standard of service we've come to expect from the Westin.
