Clean facilities great view from the room overlooking the 18th hole on the golf course keeping us entertained during our whole stay!

The terrace room was lovely, great views onto the golf course, lots of space and a very very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the corridor smelt of smoke and was very noisy at night with guests coming back at all times during the evening. In the spa area - the pool was freezing and the steam room smelt terrible. Breakfast was average. But other than that it was nice. The driving range was fun

We visited the hotel for a nice treat to ourselves. We checked in and was surprised to have an upgrade for our room. It was gorgeous!! We were impressed by the accessibility for wheelchair users - a little lift takes you up to the spa entrance. The massages myself and my partner had were lovely. The areas were spotless. Dinner that evening was at the Fairway Lounge. Gorgeous food and lovely wine. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast the next day was buffet style. All the food was delicious and piping hot. It was the perfect mini break my partner and I wanted. We will definitely be returning.

Took my mum for a night away : spa facilities were fantastic, trea**ents were gorgeous, food was delicious. However, when staying overnight we were alerted of the fire alarm that there was a fire on the grill near our room! It was not until we managed to open the fire exit door ourselves that we saw a large fire! Although the alarm was ringing there was no meeting point outside the exit and no staff to be seen anywhere at all throughout the night! We were very confused as to where we supposed to go shocking that there was enough staff or a fire evacuation plan for the residents staying! Shocking considering there always be plans put in place when asked on reception the next day we were told theres not enough staff which wasant good enough, appaling!

Oh im sooooo disappointed..been before but not for awhile.. the food was awful the starter was cold a crabcake.. taseless bit slimy inside yuk Main salmon in panko crumb.. overcooked Sticky toffee fine with ice cream We had to query the bill 3 times I still felt we had be over charged but it was humiliating it was a Thursday night not like a packed house.. The jacuzzi broken again Great singer ver contemporary she was the highlight my sister and I have decided never to go back and in the future we will be going to thornton hall ...such a shame

booked a suite for two night the room was very clean and so was the hotel. Staff were friendly. The 24hr room service were cold sandwich’s past 10pm. The tv remote for the bathroom tv didn’t work i complained to the front desk but they couldn’t help so no tv in the bath

My partner & I booked to stay here for one night. We solely booked this hotel to be able to use the spa facilities (pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc.) Of course, being a 4* star rated hotel this also enticed us in. I had briefly read reviews upon booking, all seemed ok; few complaints here and there but you get that with everything. The room was ok, a few minor issues that I wouldn’t expect to see in a 4* hotel (mould in the shower, a bath with no plug, wooden drawers peeling away, blue tack on windows? As well as being greeted by a fly in our room upon check in!) All of which, genuinely didn’t bother me too much. Once checked in, we let reception know that we would like to use the pool etc from 4pm, she done this for us and gave us our wristbands. Shortly after we strolled across to the Leisure reception, to be told that the “pool and jacuzzi are closed due to high chlorine levels”. As you can imagine, I was NOT happy in the slightest, as we only booked to stay here to use these facilities. I struggled to understand how this happened… Also confused as to why hotel reception didn’t tell us this when booking with them when we would be using the pool! I then decided to read reviews on this hotel (as I now had a lot of spare time), and was disgusted to see how many people have also had the same issue with spa facilitations being closed!!! Luckily for us, the pool reopened again within 2 hours and we got the chance to use the pool, albeit the jacuzzi was still closed. Breakfast the next day was okay, pretty average but no complaints, but to be honest we checked out as soon as we could. I definitely didn’t really enjoy the stay here and definitely wouldn’t return. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend to anyone that they stay here, especially if they’re interested in using the spa. It seems as though you’re not guaranteed to be able to use it, and shouldn’t be paying the prices when they are so unreliable…

Really nice stay. I use it all the time. Use the range when I stay. Discount for residents would be nice! Good business facility.

I was looking forward to staying in a hotel which was going to deliver luxury. Unfortunately it all seemed rather tired and in need of a refurbishment. Our room was comfortable apart from the fact that the net curtains could have done with a wash and two of our towels had holes in them!
