This booking is a total rip-off from the beginning to end. 1.Make sure you have free cancelation because you will surely use it. 2. Just know that there are extensive hidden fees including paying for paddle boarding, scuba diving, etc whether you use them or not all guest are required to pay at the end amongst other things. 3.Customer Service was horrific from beginning to end starting with long check in wait times without any acknowledgement also don't expect them to initially fill you in on the astronomical fees that they tack on in the end. Also, upon finding out they placed me on a ground level floor facing all the foot traffic opposite of any ocean or scenic views, I was promised a room change the following day which never happened for the duration of my stay. 4. Room service surprisingly came to my room at 8pm inquiring about service which was bizarre. 5.Food is insanely expensive including room servic delivery. I paid almost $50 for a small sized pizza at the low end restaurant.Free Breakfast which was listed upon booking as well as on my receipt was anything but free so be where. They told me upon checkout it is only $80 but there is nowhere stating that information. One hostess at Salt shack told me it would would be a 20minute wait for breakfast or I can try a buffet upstairs but after walking in the hotsun upstairs there was no buffet or restaurant and so the 20 minute wait continued. 6.Overall hiddeen fees were were astronomical. This is a 2star rating at best.i hate that I chose this place for my stay it was a total rip off!

a year old boutiquish autograph collection hotel that hits a lot of right notes resort fee that covers easy access to cats, snorkels, yaks, and sups with an infinity pool that curves its way around to a swim up bar and a decent beach that feels plenty exclusive the bars don't start till 11am but they serve up a tall welcome cruzan rum punch and when the tenders do get going they have good beers on tap and decent punches the rooms are nice sized modern beachy florida style at night the tikis light up everywhere and sure head to isla blue - its not great grub but its got a great view its hooked to the westin which looks like a public housing complex by comparison - efficient i guess for wrong missy type office outings but definitely lacking any island style. the westin even has lounge chairs floating in the murky pools and half eaten convention meals festering here and there oh and the buoy haus staff add the overall positive island vibe at the morningstar - all helpful smiling and welcoming its obviously not a top tier 5 star boutique hotel but it's really a great spot to stop in usvi and possibly the best

Loveliest pristine beach ever, golden sand, clear warm water, perfect for swimming, not at all crowded. Snorkeling day on the hotel catamaran was exceptional, beautiful fish and coral. Beach front room was super lux, infinity pool a dream. Loved Sugarfish up at the Westin for sunset cocktails and sushi, everyone SO friendly, can’t wait to return 🌊🏝️⛱️

Wonderful resort in the Frenchman’s Reed area of St. Thomas. We had a spacious villa overlooking the greenery which I would say comfortable slept 5. The restaurants had great options for food and the bars were wonderful. Thanks Dee for being a great hostess/bartender. Everyone is VERY attentive to all of your needs and I would definitely come back. Big plus: you can use all of the facilities of the Westin next door and just a short walk away.

The hotel is appealing and boasts breathtaking views. However, the service at both the Salt Shack and the Tide Pool has been underwhelming. One morning, we faced a lengthy 20-minute wait for a server to attend our table, despite seeing several employees socializing rather than serving guests. Additionally, when we arrived for breakfast at 10:50, we were curtly informed by the hostess that it was too late to place an order, even though breakfast was advertised until 11:00. Clear communication about ordering policies would be appreciated - I thought the breakfast is SERVED until 11:00, not that it has to be ordered, served and eaten by 11:00. At the Tide Pool, the service approach was particularly disappointing. Instead of staff coming to the chairs to take orders, guests were expected to go to the bar themselves. Instead they were just chatting with each other all day long, not paying attention to the guests at all. As a result, we didn't order any drinks, despite spending the entire day at the pool. Given the premium we paid, we expected more attentive service. Our experience was further soured at the Westin hotel spa, where our scheduled appointment was inconveniently rescheduled at the last minute to accommodate another guest, which we found quite disrespectful. Considering hosting our wedding at this resort initially, the poor service has led us to decide against it. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

This is a very simple review. The pool, beach and rooms were all excellent. The workers at the hotel were all really nice and tried very hard. The major issue here is that the food quality just isnt very good and it is pricey. They really need to figure out a way to up their game in terms of the quality, everything was just so inconsistent. You could leave the hotel to eat(we did one night), but taxis are at least 9 dollars each way per person, which would offset the difference in price cost, although the meals would likely be better.

We had a lovely time at this resort. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and beach easily accessible. I agree with other reviews however that note service is far from 5 star. For instance, for check out I had to lug all of our suitcases down a flight of stairs to the lobby because I couldn’t get anyone to pick up the phone at the front desk to request assistance. There were several other examples of slow service or missteps that I wouldn’t expect at a resort at this price point. I did however consistently receive excellent service at breakfast at the Salt Shack. Overall, we did enjoy our time at this resort despite service not quite meeting our expectations.

Marriotts step child !. I know this is a long review, but if you’re applying to stay at this property, do read Pro’s - private beach - lots of access to beach from multiple places - Resort fee - includes snorkeling gear - not trip . - Resort fee includes Westin next door pools / etc - Private pool so less crowded . For buoy haus residents So here is where is this hotel completely lacks - Value equal to money. This property usually is ranging at $800 a night which is what I paid Cons - I have never stayed. At a property that is cost me so much and does not have a 24/7 Room Service. And if they don’t, it should mention mention on Marriott’s website as well as the Hotel website. - which it does not . - All restaurants on property - Vegetarian options are not limited. They are scarce to none . I went to the only restaurant that had a vegetarian burger in four days and twice they were out of it. - All restaurants in Property close a little before 10 - is no customer service or walkable restaurant so if you wanna have a late meal you’re hungry breakfast - The biggest con apart from iguanas and cats around their restaurants. -SERVICE ! Don’t get me wrong the staff isn’t rude but they have no idea what service is . The stuff needs to be rotated across the globe but maybe another JW Marriott to know what an expensive hotel service feels like. - Eg - if you wanna go somewhere but you have to come down to the hotel lobby and order a cab - which is something I should be able to do over the phone but that’s not an option - Now, if you’re in building five, it’s a long haul to reception . I did that I got on site to take a few pictures. My cab came and left. . A hotel charging me that much would call me and tell me my cab is here. But they don’t care.. because they actually do not know what it is to the client that is paying that much per night. - Again, an upscale property they should be serviced near the pool area . at 5 PM. The bar at the pool is closed and the other adjoining Bar refuses to come to the pool to deliver. . There isn’t enough staff to come around and ask you if you need something. And there’s literally no way that they’re trying to make this stay convenient for a guest. - Hotel asks if they can have the chef make something for you if they don’t have the vegetarian option - Frankly, the staff has never been to a five star property stayed or worked at a property that cost anything over 600 because if they did they would know that this property on Service is 0 out of 10 they’re nothing better than a courtyard . - Every time you call Service desk - 1 of every 3 times . It will keep ringing no one will answer, and you’ll end up going down to the lobby. - Oh, I forgot I went to the coffee shop at 7 AM to sit have a cup of coffee before heading out and since I’m not there for breakfast, I cannot be seated at a table . - This property is not worth $800 a night at all and the staff would definitely benefit from going and working a

My wife, daughter and I spent 7 nights at this property and had a wonderful experience, despite having some concerns after reading some negative reviews before checking-in. One of the hotel managers, Mika, addressed our concerns before our arrival and personally ensured that our visit was everything we had hoped for: The staff was friendly and attentive; the grounds were gorgeous and well-maintained; the room - although smaller than we expected — was new, clean, and very comfortable; the meals at all the restaurants were very good; the hotel beach and pool were fantastic; and the shuttle between the Buoy Haus and Westin was very convenient. Highlights: the comfortable and plentiful lounge chairs by the infinity pool; the lovely lobby with expansive views of the ocean; the tiki torch-lit pathways on the grounds at night; the night-time kayak tour from the Westin dock; and the complimentary coffee and rum cocktails in the lobby. We highly recommend this property and would definitely return someday!
