Stayed here several times before but now can only give 3 stars. Room and food acceptable although still lots lacking in room. No complementary water as usually expected or tissue box.Little things but what is expected in a good hotel. The room was not cleaned up to standard in morning just a quick bed making. Main thing is this is a spa hotel and the spa is now like a public lido. Children with rubber rings in jacuzzi, children playing ball games in adults pool and diving. Not enough seats to accommodate hotel guests and jacuzzi only working for twenty minutes per hour. Always have a massage when staying and this year masseur was sniffing all the way through session. Not really good enough for a spa hotel.Unfortunately will have to look elsewhere for next visit to Sovata as there are new hotels being build.

They are very rude and mad all the time. They have no understanding of what customer service is, we stayed one night and left. I come to Sovata 3-5 times a year and they won’t be seeing us again. Crystal Hotel is the best.

It is a very nice hotel, recently renovated. It was my second time here, after my first visit in August 2022. The breakfast is diversified and of good quality, the SPA and medical services are worth their money.

We stayed there for 4 nights, our room was small, smelly and old in every respect. You are not being provided with any amenities which you might find even in common 2- star hotels: water, tea, coffee, soap, etc. We were lucky to have stayed in summer and not having to use the heater, which looked like a piece of old rusty iron. For this kind of service the room charges are surreal. Not to mention the spa area, which is rather functional, not for relaxation purposes. For someone looking for services at a 4- star hotel, I wouldn’t recommend this place ever.

Clean, efficient and friendly. The only issue it has 2 elevators for 6 floors or 7 floors. Tip: stay at 3rd floor so you can get good views AND walk up the steps as needed.
Pools might need some refreshing and maybe to be made bigger. Otherwise a good stay.

First time in Romania. Let's start with the cons. We paid 1700 € for a 10-day trip. Room 629 double Deluxe 1. There is no soap. They won’t change it for you unless you ask. Take it with you. We went to Kaufland and bought everything of our own. 2. The telephone in the room does not work. That is, if you want to ask something, you need to run to the reception every time. 3. Mini bar is paid. Water costs 6 Ron. 4. The elevator makes wild noise all night. 5 . The staff does not speak Russian. 6. If you don’t speak Hungarian, people won’t speak to you willingly. And don’t speak Russian at all, they won’t even talk to you. And buy water for your child at the store. The salt cave is closed and no one told us about it. Prices are steep for everything. Now the pros. The food is very tasty. ,If you are with a small child, a crib is brought to your room. There are a LOT of towels in the room. There is a lake with salt water nearby. The dinner was great, everything was delicious. The waiters are very friendly. The air is fresh, it is very cold at night, take warm clothes with you. Internet reception is very good in the hotel area.
