Spannochia is a magical place for those who want to slow down, learn about traditional Tuscan farming, cooking, and eat and drink authentic meals made with love. I spent several days at Spannochia as part of my school progress 10 years ago, and I have been dreaming about returning ever since. I was able to bring my husband for this trip and he absolutely fell in love with this special place as well. We took a cooking class, farm tour, and chose to eat the majority of our meals in the restaurant onsite because we loved it so much. We stayed in Casa Fantino- a very Tuscan style quaint home with plenty of room for the 2 of us. We spent time in the main villa for wine before dinner each night, reading in the cozy living room, and lounging on the terrace. We could have spent another week easily, and were so sad when it was time to leave. Everyone who works here makes you feel like part of their family. I will be dreaming of this place until I can come back again, hopefully in much less time than before.

We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta di Spannocchia! It is located centrally to provide access to many wonderful sights and experiences. On the estate itself there are beautiful walks, interesting tours, fantastic food and amazing hospitality. We could swim, do laundry, access wifi, share community meals and buy gift items all in one place. We also got to meet and connect with lovely people from other countries.

The pool was a magical retreat after a long day exploring Tuscany, riding bikes, shopping in Siena, touring castles/churches/museums. As a former farm intern at Spannocchia, I returned with most of my group for our 20 year reunion and it was just as magical as I remember. Rustic, but absolutely lovely, my favorite combination

The perfect venue, location, opportunities, and staff for a true Tuscan experience! This estate is the ideal escape for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in the Tuscan countryside. Exploring the trails, gardens, vinyards, orchards, and buildings takes you back in time to 1212. The phenomenal organic and regeneratively grown, produced, and prepared on site food and wine is worth the adventure to the countryside alone! Don't miss the charcuterie! The nightly sunset "wine on the terrace" before dinner and cozy estate rooms complete the experience back in time. The location is also ideal as a base for exploring the region. I look forward to returning to the magic of Spannochia with family and friends!

Spannocchia is a once in a lifetime experience. A real Tuscan experience, with amazing food and staff. Make sure to do the hike and visit the farm operations. Don’t forget to take some wine back home! All the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to tesch everything they know about regenerative agriculture.

Our villa was clean, spacious and well equipped. The location is stunning and the staff, including the amazing interns, was delightful. Dinner was healthy and delicious. There is so much to learn about regenerative agriculture! We will be back.

Our three generation family had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at Spannocchia. We took a fantastic farm tour and an amazing pasta making class, ate all of our dinners in the dining room and were delighted with every aspect of our stay. The perfect place to spend time between Italy's busy cities!

We just loved our time at Spannocchia. The people took good care of us. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh. It was fun to meet other travelers, to climb the tower (built in 1225!), to walk to the castle (an hour through the woods), to sit in the library (filled with books about art, archeology, and agriculture), to learn about the farm, and to admire the phenomenal view out our window. It was truly a vacation.

A beautiful secluded quiet retreat where your body & soul can relax deeply! Amazing architecture and history! We loved it there! Amazing real breakfast! Clean and big room:) Definitely we will go back with our extended family! Thank you! I highly recommend!

Charming place, very roomy and quaint house. Staff was very friendly and helped with dinner reservations. My daughters loved all the cats that live on the property. Climb the tower and see the beautiful view of the grounds.

It is a magical place that I will return to if I am fortunate enough to have the chance. Was a memory of a lifetime, with expert staff, delicious food and comfortable accommodations.. Great to combine with a visit to Florence and Siena.

Our farmhouse stay was an amazing home base to explore Tuscany. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. The property is beautiful and the location is ideal for day trips to Siena, San Gimingano and Montalcino. We enjoyed meals at the farm and also enjoyed local restaurants. It's a great venue to explore the area without having to move each night to another town.

The good…staff was sweet and accommodating and the property is secluded, beautiful and situated well to enjoy this area of Tuscany. The main Inn is extremely historic (in a good way!) and clean. I think if I had to do it over again I would stay in the main inn. We stayed in a remote cottage which was private but it needs to be maintained much more often. I’m going to message the owners separately with all the details but it was not very clean and needs new lightbulbs, linens, etc. Cooking class was lovely! I highly recommend doing one.

A stay at Spannoccia is everything you could imagine in the heart of Italy...the accomodations were comfortable and simple, reflecting a time long ago but up to date. The people and the food are as happy and fresh as the land, on this self- sustaining farm where nothing goes to waste. Plus the location is perfect for day trips to Siena, hot mineral spa, and the coast.
