This stay was part of a larger trip that included multiple states. We only stayed her one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, we saw nothing around that gave us reason to be cautious. It seemed to cater to business travelers and families on vacation like us. There were plenty of dining options with in a short drive as well as shopping centers. We actually had to go purchase a replacement luggage as the airlines damaged one of ours so we found a store less than 7 minutes away. The staff was super friendly and made sure to let us know they were there if we needed anything, I think they could tell by the way we looked that we had been traveling for about 20 hours at this point. The next morning we went downstairs and sampled the free hotel breakfast, it was great and my son really enjoyed his breakfast, I enjoyed my 2nd cup of coffee. While we were eating we met another couple who were on vacation like us, we started chatting and they suggested going to Dauphine Island and we took their advice, they were such a sweet couple and it's always nice to make friends like that. To that couple thank you so much for your recommendation we really enjoyed that and Fort Gaines. To the hotel, your room was clean, comfortable, modern, I can't say a bad word about our stay only that I wish we were with you another night. Thanks from our family to you.
