The first room we were given, the temperature was set to 85 degrees. I walked over and turned down the temperature and the unit seemed to respond correctly. We didn't get a chance to find out since when we looked down at the floor, the floor was covered in sheetrock debris, with the bathroom being especially covered. The second room seemed ok, so we went down to check on the hot tub and pool. The hot tub was out of order and we were told by the front desk that it needed a new motor or something. OK. Then, nighttime, neither one of us could sleep well because the heater in the room would run for about 15 seconds and then shut off only to come blasting on again in about 90 seconds. We had plenty of opportunity to make the count, since nothing we tried with controls or thermostat were able to control the fan. Most likely, we will not book another stay at this Hampton.
